Great result for the Raptors, well done JT on continuing our joint run

Raptors really turned it on in the second half with a solid and hard performance, also with a screamer from outside the box.

First Team
Salisbury Florina 8 - Vikings 2.
Brooks 4, Elliot 1, Manca 1, Westers 2 (I think).
Scrappy game, but as scoreline indicates Florina well on top.
Poor Louie did his knee and looks like he'll need a recon. Always bad to see, great bloke - and Florina will be holding a function to try and cover op. Louie is self employed - which makes things even worse.

i am normally the first to roll the eyes when i see a post about a dodgy home reserves ref but i'm sorry, this needs to be said and i'm positive that this issue has been raised before. if pontian eagles have any sense of fairness and decency they will seriously need to tackle this problem. we drew the game because we were nowhere near clinical enough and that is it. SO NO EXCUSES THERE OK. the ref was clearly intimidated by his own players and although he blew for the odd free kick, he would never address the guilty player. the game almost ended in an all in brawl due to his lack of presence and authority. yes, yes, yes. i know they give their time and we should cut them some slack but for christ sake! Pontian are embarrassing themselves with this man. i implore you to retrieve some integrity and fix the problem! that is my vent.

Beach v Vale

A's 3-2 Beach went down to 10 men after about 30-35 mins and were 2 nil down but somehow managed to fight back and get the win. It seemed the send off changed the whole game and in some weird way actually settled Beach and knocked Vale out of their stride.

B's 3-0 Beach well deserving of their victory and were the better side on the day. We just didn't seem to get going and could not take our chances when they came.

C's 2-0 Didn't see much of this game at all so can't really comment.

when the game is cut fifteen minutes short because he didn't get on the pitch in time it does make for a difficult afternoon. However I thought the referee tried his best seeing as he was thrown into doing it. well done to all the players from both sides for not allowing the situation get the better of them bar a select one who kicked a farm player while the push and shove was going on. Thanks to pontian for the match and good luck to them for the rest of the season. In particular to young pezos in goals who I hope is ok after the challenge that sent him down in pain.

maco's a's 3-0 against gully.

Maco's countered well n hit gully in the 1st half, n got 2 late on against there constant attacking.

Maco's b's won there second on the trot. 1-0

But to be fair, ive seen a chess game flow more than the game. I know its our own ref, but it was pretty bad. I tried talkin to the gully boys during the game to help em 'understand' our ref, n apart from the 1 send off they took it alright. Back to the game, it wasStop start the whole game, draw looked likely until we got 1 late on.

Maco's c's got their 1st win of the season vs grove with a 1-0 win. Didnt see it but its our 1st win in 2 years apparently.

Good day all round for maco's!

Para Hills East ( 2 ) Southern Knights ( 2 )
Good hard game and lots of resolve shown by Knights despite last weeks exodus.
Paul Thompson added to his 7 goals in reserve games with both goals for the Knights A's today.
Knights went a goal down in the first minute, leveled the score in the second half, went 2-1 down and fought back to level the game at 2-2.

Res - Para Hills East ( 9 ) Southern Knights ( 0 )
Player shortage at Knights filtering down to the Reserves...
Hope the East lad that went down with a deep gash to his knee in the second half is OK !

Strappineastie would have looked after him ok. In good hands anyway!
Must say a huge point for Knights A's given recent events.
