Was another typical close, hard-fought contest between the Cougars and the Hawks.... a game that could have really gone either way. We hit the cross bar, the post and a great save from the Hawks keeper at the last kick of the day denied us a result. Well done to the Hawks who slogged it out all day, good bunch of guys, hung around for a drink after the game.First time I can remember a game between us two rival sides that hasn't ended sour.... great game. Thanks lads.

Yeah Musci got 2. One in the first half then one in the second. 1st goal was a gem lobbed the keeper from 25 yards out the box. Adelaide Villa seem to have the goods. It was the first game I went to see and they have a very strong side.

Also heard Wanderers 3-1 over Sturt last night.

Villa comfortable and in control from the kick off. Hardly got out of second gear TBA. Stirling missed a penalty and had a couple of shots from distance and to Stirlings credit fought hard till the end. Villa could have been 3 up after 3 mins hitting the cross bar from the kick off...off side goal after 2....and a great save from the keeper after 3. This helped to keep the game competitive otherwise it may have blown right out.

Not a lot between the teams in either game. Fc Adelaide took the lead in the reserves when a looping header caught the keeper in no man's land. Nice goal Davo. No doubt you'll be posting that on your facebook status. I don't recall how the Allstars equalizer came about (perhaps Blind_spot can elaborate) but I did see the Angry Dinosaur pull off a cracking finger tip save in the FCA goal in the final stages.

In the first team game FCA were gifted a goal in the early minutes from a defensive lapse. They held on to that lead for the majority of the game and didn't look like relinquishing it until two goals in the space of sixty seconds ten minutes from time turned it around. Almost had a third two minutes later but until that point Allstars shots were all well wide.

Had to laugh at the forward disputing being called offside because he was running sideways - like it matters which way you were running.

Heard FCA went separate ways with their coach mid week. Any truth to the matter? If so who is now in charge?

They did but I can't tell you any details. New coach's first task will be to educate his forwards on the offside rule and how to stay onside. I've never seen someone offside so many times before (in both games).

Vipers 1 Fc Adelaide 2

I was discussed prior to this game, apparently I'm a champagne.

Not from the Vipers, Possibly FC Adelaide.

We were too busy doing our warm up to worry aout anyone not associatd with our club.

To sum up the game, very even in play but FC wanted it more and were a hell of alot more discplined throughout the game.

Deffinately one that we should have won and may cost us as the season goes on.... Well done FC Adelaide
