I was at France '98 (in Paris at the Semi), and it was a brilliant tournament in a brilliant country, so I dont see the problem of Euro '16 being there

My guess is top 2 from each group plus 4 next best third place getters. Seems a bit dicky to me though.

It was the only reason the USA avoided being the first host nation to crash out in the group stage in 1994.
