Registering players fpreviously on professional status
Here we have a player who is wanting to come play amateurs, and the federation club are happy to sign off on it, but as he has a pro contract he needs to wait 30 days from his last game to play with us to be eligible, according to the SAASL.
So in other words, he has to not play anywhere for 30 days, just so he can have a kick around in the amateur competition on a Saturday.
Ludicrous.
I do not see how this protects the integrity of the amateur competition.

By which time Vipers may already be relegated.
Sad news.

I guess their thinking is if he has a pro contract he's not exactly an amateur.
If they're itchy, scratch them.
Re: Registering players fpreviously on professional status
But if the contract is cancelled, then i don't see what the problem is.

pretty sure the pro player should be able to go on loan to an amatuer team straight away. then sort out the issue at the end of the season in regards to transfer............the rules may have changed though and i may be wrong

That's what i thought, but either way a 30 day blockout applies.Barnicle bill wrote:pretty sure the pro player should be able to go on loan to an amatuer team straight away. then sort out the issue at the end of the season in regards to transfer............the rules may have changed though and i may be wrong

I can only guess that it would take that long to deregister someone from FFSA and they don't want players coming in for single games and effectively being dual registered. Otherwise you could have metrostars not having a game and a club could bring in a player just for one week and then him "going back".
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Costa: One Lunch
Oh and add in
Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Frank Farina avoided a suspension by doing something along those lines (ie. served his suspension in a state league match) some years ago.
The answer is 42. So now what's the question?
Re: Registering players fpreviously on professional status
hadn't thought of that as well. Gives the SAASL time to check he isn't suspended. He might have hit a ref and be banned for life.

In regards to your signature. Is the question 'How old is Bodo' or 'How many usernames does Bodo have?'Urgh! A Music War wrote:Frank Farina avoided a suspension by doing something along those lines (ie. served his suspension in a state league match) some years ago.

Age I guess. Bodø is 42 and was born in the year Shōwa 42 in Japanese terminology.
I thought it might have has something to do with the Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy.
