Wanderers v Vipers
A's 6-4
B,s 2-0

A's imteresting game, Wanderers 5-1 up at half time,playing with a lot of confidence. Wanderers took their foot off the pedal in 2nd half which resulted in a good come back from Vipers, but too much to do and a deservered win for Wanderers

The B's match was a good arm wrestle and good to meet some fellow forumites after the match.
Missing the 2nd half of the A's match, it looked all but gone for Vipers at HT (5-1) - to their creidt they made an arm wrestle of that one too.

Good day for the Wanderers, a bit of momentum now.

Next week (Friday 28/5), Wanderers A's are hosting Sturt Marion A's for some "Friday Night Football", ko 7.15pm at the Veneto Club. B's are scheduled for Saturday as normal.

Rough game in the end, both teams dominated in parts, Gleeson unlucky to lose in the end, Comets just werent taking their chances today and also have a very well organised defence, in the end got one to sneak past the keeper.

B's: Gleeson 1 - 1 Comets

wanderers 5th goal was class.....vipers last goal was class too.....whats with the vipers spectator jumping the fence and going to run on the pitch , (peter) i beleive , Power04 was yelling at him and running to stop him.....the club should do something about this clown

Don't let the A team result fool you... there wasn't very much between the two sides for the entire game which looked like it was going to finish as an entertaining 0-0 draw. Allstars bundled in from a corner on 75 minutes which some how manage to squirm under Paleon Patros Germanos in the Navarino goal. Three minutes later Ziggy thundered in a contender for goal of the season to double the Star's league. Being the good sport that he is PPG refused to shake the linesman's hand after the game.

The B's game was probably the most dire game I have seen in a long time. Navarino well worth the points but as a whole the game was slow and unentertaining.

Don't remember anyone telling me to stay behind the fence, I was on the pitch side most of the time.

Power04 thought he was going to run on to the pitch, that's why he ran out. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that out. You are so thick.

Also, why are you not at the Comets game? Who goes to support their old club over their current club anyway? Or have you left the Comets too? I suppose if the Wanderers had a Z team you might have a shot at returning.

You guys have to be joking, that was an extremely biased game with the Ref clearly one sided making calls, especially the penalty he called from deep in your defending half. I was on the sideline and was closer and with a clearer view and that was a clear case of simulation.

As someone else has already mentioned, many of the squad look forward to the return leg, where pherhaps you will get a fairer and just result.

I wasn't trying to stop him, it was he round at the bar!

Wanderers look like a good well drilled squad, well deserved win. I have to say, I was impressed with the $14 jugs available, that was great, would have to be the best value in Amateur league. I think I paid $25 for one in Handhorf on the way down.
