I would like to express my thanks to the Adelaide Wanderers for the way in which they have handled the situation resulting in my injury during an on field incident. I have received a written apology letter from the player involved and he has openly expressed his regret both via this letter and during a recent telephone conversation. He has also reimbursed me for all expenses incurred due to the injury.
Whilst the player did not receive a red card during the match, the club has enforced a two match ban which was voluntarily extended by the player for a further week. I have also refused an offer by him to sit out our return fixture. I believe that the punishment served is adequate and do not see this as being necessary.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to Cameron (Wanderers President), Ralph (BOSA President) and Bruno (BOSA legend) for facilitating the communications. Thanks also to all of the players on both sides for their support.
On a personal note my ear has healed very well and there will be no requirement for plastic surgery thanks to an excellent ED doctor who is more than handy with scissors and a needle & thread.
The only other thing that I would like now is the 3 points on the return fixture, but I am sure that they will not give those up so easily.

Re: Adelaide Wanderers
Bodes if all this happened you should work for the UN. You could even solve all the wars in the world.
You should get the Nobel peace prize.
