Noarlunga Vs South Coast

A's - 0-0 Draw
B's - 2-1 Noarlunga

An amazing free kick and a penalty save for Noarlunga, aswell as a well placed header from a South Coast defender from a great Noarlunga cross made sure the Noarlunga B's secured a win.

Pretty heated game in the A's with one of the South Coast players getting sent off for talking back to the ref after a tackle, then punches thrown after the match between the both sides with players going on report.

awesome effort yesterday by Vista yesterday to take all points away from the Knights, something that has never happened before. Although Knights had a lot of the ball, they couldn't find the back of the net. Vista's 1st goal was a well hit cross that found the back of the net but it still shows in the score book, the 2nd was a penalty from a hand ball, could have gone either way but was there and called. Thought the ref took control early of the game and was ok, although he did keep pointing the wrong way but overall i would be happy to have him each week. And swanny, appreciate the glowing feedback on my dive, you do what you gotta do
You go on the p*ss all day, you've ballooned out like the Pillsbury Doughboy!
You could go to jail for this! What sort of system am I going to play then? Three across the middle and one in bloody Pentonville? *Mike Basset*

Considering we were without our first choice midfield pairing , Beach worked really hard yesterday and gave Florina a real scare. I feel we were very unlucky not to come away with at least a draw...The turning point for me was the penalty decision. Manca should have been sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity and the ref bottled it. Chatted to Manca after the game and he even said he should have been sent off..

Pretty entertaining match...played at a decent pace and no malice.Quality free-kick to win it for Florina..If Beach can play at the same level for the rest of the season, then we should stay up. Hopefully Josh and Dazza get back to full fitness soon so i can f@#k off back to the B's(much more my pace).

Probably well summed up I missed the pen decision as I was warming up I was just wondering by all the predictions tho whether anyone remembered to send u guys the script of what was meant to happen? Well done to the beach a fighting team who will do us a favour and pick up points from all the higher teams with their never say die spirit

Not much to report on the Farm v Vale game, a tough fought 1-0 win with Chris Ennis scoring from a Lachlan Campbell freekick in the first half.

Farm had enough chances to make it 3 or 4 nil but were unable to take them. They seemed to have it reasonably comfortable defensively (compared to other weeks), but surely the Vale will start grabbing some points in their next games, they'd feel pretty pissed by losing by a goal to Farm, Downs and Florina.

Couple of semi-shocks in other results, Gardens only managing 1 vs Fulham and Westies taking Florina right to the end.

Gardens doing the business at the moment though, will be interesting to see how they go in their last 3 games of the first half of season when they play Florina, Downs and Farm back-to-back.

Much improved effort by Fulham yesterday - yes Gardens dominated 2nd half but Fulham had 2 or 3 good scoring chances as well.

Very important next 3 matches against Vale, Vikings and West.

Need to translate yesterdays better performance into points into the coming weeks but after yesterday I am feeling more confident.

I must admit I am puzzled by the predictions every week...Apart from the Gardens game, we have played quite well and just haven't got that bit of luck to get a result. Ok we don't have the big names at the Beach but we have a good group of players who have played with each other for years. There is always a good spirit there and every player will give his all for the team.

I can't do any sort of write up this week as I didn't see either of the A's and B's.

I only know the scores but can give a good write up of the C team game :D

Thats pretty much what I got told. Keepers brain fade basically gifted you guys the first goal and we deserved 1 in the 2nd but just couldnt put it in the net. Fair effort from the boys against what would be considered a better team than our own, playing on the side of everest  and playing a new formation for the first time, without the coach. Showed some spirit :)
ROBBO wrote:And Jay Walking is famously better as a coach than a player any day of the week
agreed ;) same goes here I think... hence the reason I volunteered my coaching services this season... that and its the only way I get on the park

First half of the C's we were pretty much in control. Vale made a couple of good moves forward through your brother and Crawf but didn't have anyone on the end of it. We created quite a few chances but only took 2.

Second half was a little more even and we created a couple of chances but not as many as the first. Vale had more of the ball in the second half but again, you didn't get it into the box enough and when you did, you didn't have anyone that could finish off the good build up. Our Drogba look a like had an off day and could of scored a couple and the new recuirts radar was a little off.

Certainly a better team than last year though Andy!

I heard the c team coach's replacement had to leave at half time as he was named to play in the b's! Was certainly a good game to watch although we did look the better team just couldn't finish our chances (bloody kanu) ref did a great job although he didn't move from the centre of the park! At least one of his teams won today  I want to know how that pajero brought in the flags and the net by itself after the main game where were all the hellers? Robbo?

Sorry to inform you outlaw but you have missed out on the 1 month contract to coach the C's while I'm away. The main reason was that you abused me too much whilst I was playing :)
