Hey mate, you wanna be careful quoting things like that things like that, will come back to bite you - hope all the players arent thinking like that. Your div 4 did good,so that is like your C+D team,up against div 1 and div 2 teams ? you must have a bit of depth this year ?
Good luck in your next cup round.

A's
Parafield 17 - Adel Cougars 1 (HT 7-1)
Goalscorers - 5 Velasquez, 4 McConnell, 3 Riding, 2 Villalata, 1 Foster, Stam, Girdler
Have to be a record score for as many years as anyone can remember. Gardens lads never took their foot off the pedal after being 1 nil down & kept playing good soccer credit to Cougars they didnt lay down but were outclassed.

B's
Parafield 2 - Pt Pirie 0
Goalscorers - 1 Girdler, TOG
Great win for the ressie after going out in round 1 the last few years.

O35's
Parafield 1 - Athelstone 1
Goalscorer - 1 Bermoser
Going down 1 nil half time like last week started to play better soccer in second half & got equaliser.

Downs beat Murray Bridge 18v0 about four years ago...
Motts had us all pumped up saying you don't want to take this light hearted, you never know what your gonna come up against, all that crap. Then about 30 mins from kick off MB rock up only to proceed to do their warm up on the playground and flying fox next to the changrerooms. Ref had to blow the wistle for them to come over and start the game.   Would have to be one of the funniest things i have seen in all my years playing...

No mate 5 was the highest but had it not been for Cougars keeper (could only save goals with his feet) we might of seen some players score 6 or 7.

Funny thing was the Cougars subbed their coach during the game as he got caught up in a bit of banter with the Gardens supporters :o

There was 50 of us at the Robin Hood, the clubrooms had a 21st on that night so we couldn't use them after the game. Thanks to the Farmers who supported the BBQ at half time (hopefully there was some left, demand was overwhelming from the earlier matches) and those who brought their own eskies

PS I read on here that Semi Finals and Finals were to be played at Hindmarsh. Anybody know if that is correct? If so, good work SAASL.

Good day out for the Vista, Especially the B's result. Both teams were a bit thin for numbers this week so good to see us get through!

Unfortunately The Vista Old Boys were defeated 6-1 by MC Woodpeckers.

Was nice to see a few of the El Salvador Boys hang around for quite a while sinkin a few crownies!

I think the rules should be ammended where regular first team players should not be eligable.....based on league games played already. ressie cup should be 4 ressies. me thinks the rules are a wee bit open to abuse ie the Downs could have played the first team v Gleeson ressies, not that we would have, but we could have and that dont sit well with me.
I know your stirring and in fairness, in the last 4 years, only 1 first teamer has played for us.

As for the other 4 and their availability, its up to the coaches to decide who should play and who shouldn't.

I'd still rather of won on Saturday and than be it the situation we are in.

Surely this is the "FA Cup 3rd Round giant killing" of the round?

So many team forfeiting against higher div clubs and yet BESA beat Pontians.

This is what the Cup round is meant to be all about!

Was towards the end of the game it was 15-1 Cougars keeper raised his foot & made contact with Gardensgoon's face in the box so ref sent him off & awarded penalty. Stam made a beeline from his goal to the ball and picked it up before anyone else did & slotted it away nicely to get his name on the score sheet.
