Very funny for a bloke that could have been my son if the dog hadn't beaten me over the fence to his Mum!Vista_Bhoy wrote:What is the most confusing day of the year in Elizabeth?

This thread surely has to be a joke. Its a hallmark holiday. It was invented to sell more cards! Show your Mum you care for more than just one day a week. Better yet, invite her out to a game and then take her out for dinner afterwards.

At the East we are having a Ladies Day this week. Tent for all the wags/mums, champagne lunch provided and a special ladies' edition of the Eastside Massive. Should be a great day and hopefully we will see lots of gals on the sidelines.

The best part about the new changerooms are the full length mirrors. Moggy finds it very difficult to get me out of there before the whistle blows.Jay Walking wrote:We still ask the question in our player profile who spends more time in front of the mirror than East 17East 17 wrote:At the East we are having a Ladies Day this week. Re: Playing Soccer on Mother's Day
is this topic serious??
i am a first time mum...... and even i find this lame.
after brekkie in bed theres the whole rest of the day.
I was planning on taking my daughter out to watch her dad(my hubby) play soccer.
Its MOTHERS DAY. i am content to spend the 90mins with my daughter... its a soccer match, not a full day commitment.

One player told me 6-0 loss, another told me 7-0, either way, outclassed by a Division 2 side who were apparently playing one or two first-teamers because of a forfeit.

In the Cougars case, yes they did .. played a makeshift team that even involved our reserve players from our B squad getting a starting 11 spot against arguably, one of the best sides in the amatuer league.... sorry boysKitchimo wrote:Judging by the scores today it appeared that the wives won!
Looking forward to playing the Iggies next week! Most of us have had a week off so watch out!

Pfft... excuses. Teams can only play the team their opposition puts on the park.

Re: Playing Soccer on Mother's Day
not an excuse, just fact. Even with a full strength team against Para Gdns, still would have been a very, very hard task...Corky wrote:Pfft... excuses. Teams can only play the team their opposition puts on the park.
