No doubt it was an upset. Ingle Farm thought they had it wrapped up before the first whistle. They were stunned when iggies came back with 3 goals in the second half.

Terrible result for us. I only got to see the last 10 mins of the game due to attending a wedding. We were 2 nil up and went into crusie control and to Iggies credit, they applied the pressure and scored 3. From reports we had enough chances in the first half to put the game beyond doubt but simply didn't. Our record on Saturdays gets worse lol.

Well done to Iggies and they certainly enjoyed the win and so they should. Our guys need to pick themselves up and get back to the way we have been playing this weekend against Vale.

As for us missing players, 4 guys were out for various reasons but that doesn't excuse the loss as only 1 b team player started and only one was on the bench so the side should of been strong enough.

Not sure what you meant by thinking we had the game wrapped up before the kick off. A few guys were a bit pissed off as the playing strip only rocked up 20 mins before kick off. Still, good teams don't lose games when they are 2 nil up so its no excuse.

PS bloodypassit, I'm not sure if I'm hungover or just still really annoyed about the result but I feel terrible today lol. Good day/night at the wedding.

Division 10
Ingle Farm 1 Elizabeth Downs 3

Downs had a fourth goal ruled out after the corner was adjudged to have gone out before it swung back it. Personally, I don't think it did. Swanny warned me about the slope on the pitch... you notice it more when you have to play on it.

Reserves cup..
Bosna 4 defeated by hahndorf 5.. Hahndorf dominated to go 4 goals up, silly defensive lapses got bosna back in the game.
Div 5: stirling 1 - hahndorf 4. Hahndorf on top all day deserved victors.

A's - Southern Knights ( 4 ) FC Adelaide ( 1 )
FC Adelaide took the game to Southern Knights for the best part of the game and were level at 1-1.
Lemmy Vatsilas had drilled his charges pretty well...game tipped over once Knights scored their second.

Reserves - Southern Knights ( 2 ) Ingle Farm ( 7 )
Knights had a good first half going in at 2-3 down but could have quite easily lead by a couple of goals at the break.
Second half Farm steamrolled an uninspiring Knights effort.

A's cup

Vale 4 - Pirie 1

Pirie Keeper an absolute gun. If not for him score couldve been extremely embarrassing! Pulled off some amazing reflex saves from 2 or 3 close range efforts, 1 or 2 of them through traffic which he no doubt saw late! As a spectator game never really seemed to get going (even though there were 5 goals scored) Vale went 1 up through a penalty before conceding a very soft goal for 1-1. 2-1 up after a quality volley from one of the new boys ;) then The Vale hit the bar through Nichols just on half time.
Game continued at a canter and Vale went 3-1 up after a simple cross and header ("Skinny" unmarked out right crossing to the back post for Nichols to nod in from close range) Pirie looked flat footed and well beaten, barely putting pressure on the ball 30 yards out from their own goal. A 2nd penalty to The Vale late on just to really kill the game. Both teams basically walked out the last 10minutes.... Almost disappointing to watch :|

Macedonia - 0
Bosa - 6 or so

albeit we had half the B's playing a second game for the A's it was a boring affair. Bosa didnt seem to be at full strength either but good luck to them on a good win. Think it goes to show that the cup is a joke especially on mothers day coz noone gave a stuff about playing or not....think the SAASL should reconsider the structure and fixtures for the cup in future......think there was a few of the Easties lads out there today watching the rubbish and dont despair boys coz it'll be a different set up next week....pig on the spit included...

So now that Farm 1st team are out and the ressies are still in. is there anything stopping the whole Farm 1st team from dropping down to the ressies for the next round?
