Our ressies certianly didnt have a problem with it, heck we were 1 nil up until a lapse in the 85 minute saw the equaliser...

Nah the ref was ok, but he sent off a Lion player after the whistle for a second yellow for dissent i think.

Our ressies have improved by getting our players back that were lost to the first team, they held their structure at the back really well and we had a more experienced keeper who also saved a penalty....

Never seen Lion before so I can't tell if Fridays form is the norm for them....

Falcons ressies played well first half and took their chance from a USC Lion mistake. Lion failed to convert a penalty before halftime, leaving the scoreline at 1-0. Lion had the better of the 2nd half missing two or three great chances before levelling with 10 mins to go. The referee was a disgrace and stopped the game constantly for minor issues, he was completely unapproachable and terribly inconsistant(Looks like billy bowden. He made the game very frustrating for players and spectators.

In the A's, Lion were 3-0 up before conceeding two late goals to make it 3-2. Lion controlled most of the game, with Falcons never giving in and pushing Lion right to whistle.

we had him a few weeks back and he stopped the play every minute blowing his whistle like a mad man. we didn't lodge a complaint though.

And the 5-1 and 5-0 later in the year :P

The 1-1 scoreline reflected a near full strength defence (minus yours truly with a busted ankle :D) and a keeper who actually jumps, dives and charges....

I just hope we can continue this but our depth is actually weaker than last year so we'll have to wait and see.

well it seems nothing has changed down at fulham gardens with the home referee being the worst i have EVER experienced playing this game i love

absolute disgrace to the ametuer league and really does he have any sort of training or qualification to referee?

no fucking idea

- hands out a red card for no apparant reason
- clear corners that are called for goal kicks because the ACU falcon players tells him so
- ACU receive a penalty because our player was trying to shield the ball away from the player in the box and the ACU player fell over

we had all the possession but couldnt take our chances and couldnt come away with a win

end of rant

Look, I apologised to EVERY Pumas player after the game for the less than stellar referee.

But at the same time you guys had plenty of chances and didn't put the game away so you can't blame the result squarely on the ref.

In regards to the penalty, my view was blocked so I didnt actually see it but you got karma in the first half as the penalty that wasnt given was a penalty and vise versa for the one that was given.......if you converted that penalty you prob would have scored another 3 or 4 goals......

where was our proper ref?

if we knew it was that same guy doing it we would have organised an official referee

I was as shocked as you were when he showed up.

When we played mt barker 3 weeks ago we got a proper ref so why one wasn't arranged for yesterday was beyond me.

I've let the committee know that proper refs are needed as our only decent club ref coaches (and yesterday played) ressies.

Don't think for a second that's what were about. Footballs a great game and I hate it when it gets ruined by poor decisions by officials at all levels.

My view of the game was Pumas were all over ACU even with the 10 men... Pumas ressies have been lacking a striker all season (they cant wait till i make my return from injury :P )

every footballer should know that referee decisions shouldn't influance a game if chances were being created... like they were. pumas finally showed some heart when going a man down which is also great.

The ref well.. lets be honest he wasnt great.. but what can you do..

I also thank u falcon for the apoligies you gave out... im sure you always wanted a nice fair game :)

BTW killa bbq ;)

even your own team mates were slagging off that megaphone. In fact at our place the guys dad (who was marking me) took it off him. He complained about it a lot more than any of us did.

Puma's club ref was the best we had all season. i doubt falcons ref had even attended the course.
