real madrid

Post by ruud »

Both Robben and Wesley Sneijder, considered "surplus to requirements" at Real Madrid, are in the Champions League Final.

Both players have become stars of their respective teams.

Whilst Real Madrid were knocked out early and may not even win the Spanish League

It must hurt being a Real Madrid supporter right now

Lets see which 11 players they buy this transfer window and win nothing

The simple fact of the matter was, that if we wanted Ronaldo and Kaka we needed to sell some players that were going to bring in some money to the club. Robben and Sneijder provided that money. Robben is very injury prone, the decision to sell Sneijder seems like it was purely economic, it was either him or Van der Vaart and Inter were interested in Sneijder. At the end of the day...

Ronaldo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Robben

and whilst Sneijder has had a better season that Kaka, Kaka has greater skill, passing is better in fact he's better than Sneijder at just about everything except free kicks (Ronaldo is better than Sneijder at those) and long range cracks.

I'm happy with the replacements.

But are you happy with the season? And no Im not fishing.

If you can honestly sit there and say you are happy with how it has panned out, you are deluded. Where is Diarra, your lovehild??? Paid 25 million Euro and he will be sold at the years end for 12-15. The reality is, that when it comes to the market, Real Madrid dont know how to do it.

I just read another thread that you wouldnt have Mourinho because Madrid arent accustomed to playing that style??

Im sorry do you mean playing a style that wins trophies??

If I was a Real supporter I would just be praying you get someone lie Mourinho that knows what they are doing, someone that knows how to win. You had the ideal bloke, but he is coaching England now because your president and precious fans coldnt stand to watch his "style", yet he brought you two championships the two years he coached the club.

No wonder people hate the club, some of your supporters heads are so far up their a$$es its not funny.

Well done, Real - Champions of the World for selling shirts (again).

there's nothing wrong with selling shirts usually, only when it's your main motive behind buying a player

Real are not good enough and have not been for several seasons, find a new club to jump on the bandwagon

I AM happy with the season, I said at the start of the season that I would not be disappointed if we didn't win anything (that changes next season IF we keep Pellegrini). The simple fact of the matter is that with the points we have, we are 2nd to only Barca in any of the major leagues, and we're on course to getting 98 points. Also Pellegrini has instilled a brand of fast attacking football that produces a lot of goals (could break the 100 goal barrier this season.)

No I mean playing a style that is boring, that invites teams to come at you, rape you for possession 75% or so and have to rely on counter attacks, Real Madrid is accustomed to do the raping. Having said that, that incredibly boring, time wasting, 10 man defensive football did us a favour and it must be acknowledged. But as a Real Madrid fan, you prefer to lose playing better than the opposition, than winning and getting totally dominated.

Also Fabio Capello was no good, it was the players and the fans and the media that got us that championship, so many last minute goals none of which were due to masterful tactical changes in fact Capello made the huge mistake of freezing out Beckham only to have him play an incredibly pivotal role at the end of the season. Also we have more leagues than we know what to do with, it's not majorly important to us, Champions League is the trophy we want.

Also i'm not the kind of fan that will settle for winning the first leg 3-1 and losing the 2nd leg 0-1, to me that seems even, Inter won one game and Barca won the other game, and the only reason Barca didn't score more in the 2nd leg is because the circumstances were different (I'm a believer that it's better to play the first leg at home, but that's a topic for another thread). I'd rather just go out attack and destroy the opposition 4-0 in both legs.

your post should be titled: Real Madrid fans really are as stupid and deluded as their club president
call it brainwashing?
any other big club would have told Perez to fuck right off from the start

And here is where the naivety sets in.

Everyone would love a team that slaps the ball around, a la Barca and smashes sides. Problem is, teams like that have no plan B, as witnessed at the Nou Camp Thursday morning when they came up against a side that actually knew how to keep them quiet - albeit with 10 men! Oh the horror!!!

3 pts and 1-0 or 1 pt and 4-4..................... I know which result I would rather have.

Now you go back off to your peter pan football world and keep running with the fairies.

PS Capello proved twice that he is a master in spain - pffft the crowd won the championship..... yeaaaah right.

The stupidity and arrogance of Real and their fans never ceases to amaze me, it's no wonder why they go out so quickly year after year.

To expect to come into Europe and win 4-0 home and away is a disrespectful comment to the rest of Europe. The comp is that tight that every year it comes down to an incident here or there which makes the difference. Yet Real expect to walk in a wipe the floor with every club they come across.

Congrats you managed to do it in the 50's before other clubs took Europe serious but to think you can do it in today's world you deserve everything you get.

Real the club that finances "real" football clubs with their ridiculous purchases of circus performers and gifted sales of quality footballers. They are to football what the harlem globe trotters are to basketball.

Joke club with delusional fans, honestly how many tossers are out there buying up the latest "hero" shirt. Any self respecting football fan wouldn't support a club embarrassing itself so regularly and would demand serious results on the pitch not milking a global audience for results off it.

It's not disrespectful it's aspirational, we aspire to be the best club in the world all the time, playing attacking football that wins all the time, its an ideal, obviously its not possible but its a goal you strive towards. Why should we not hope to beat everyone 4-0, it seems more noble than going away from home and defending with 10 players.

Other teams didn't take Europe seriously?? That's news to me, some of the teams we came up against in the semi finals included Milan and Fiorentina and Eusebio's Benfica. I'm sure they got to the final simply by not caring (now that really is arrogance)

Translator aren't you an Inter fan, come on mate, you can hardly accuse Real Madrid of not delivering on the pitch when you support a team that hasn't had continental success in decades (in the shadow of Milan much???) and as for domestic success you're still firmly in the shadow of Juventus. Any self-respecting football fan would support the club he loves and that is what I do, regardless of what happens on and off the pitch.

Why? Because you can't even get past the first round of knock out games, let alone win a match 4-0. How about aspiring to win a game before dreaming up scorelines.

When did Real beat Eusebio's Benfica and go on to win the comp? Yes beating Reims in post WWII Europe is massive and comparable to football today.

Yes I am regardless of how much we do or don't win, but unlike some if we conceded 6 to a rival away let alone at home we wouldn't sit there and pull ourselves over dreamed up score lines, we actually protest and let the club and players know that it's not accepted. But you're right I'll much rather try and beat Barca at the Nou Camp with ten men by a scorelines of 0-4 and lose then actually make it to the final. Maybe rather than worrying about when we'll next win we can take the Real approach and polish our knobs over past trophies

Enjoy sitting there and loving your club while everyone laughs at it, must be a lot of love when past players refer to Real as a circus, yet you continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. Oh well at least you have a closet full of 38 hero shirts of great players that earnt respect playing elsewhere.
Madridista612 wrote:The Bernabeu was saved tonight. Grazie Inter.
It's ok while you sit there and toss over your history books so hard that you can't even read the print anymore, pfft Eusebio's Benfica, watch your club spend 100's of millions while Spain sits borderline in ruin, I'll take satisfaction in having our best player should at "Real prices" and in the meantime we strengthen our squad on players Real can't use. Just be grateful that in the meantime we'll save your face.

It still doesn't mean we shouldn't aspire to win our matches 4-0, there are short term goals and there are long term goals, obviously our short term goal is to get past the 2nd round of the CL next season but our long term goal is to be the dominating force in Europe, I don't see anything wrong with that, ask any team whether they would like to dominate every team in Europe 4-0 at home and 4-0 away and who is going to reply no??

We didn't they beat us in the final, goes to show they were taking it very seriously. Just goes to show how naive you are about football, obviously because Reims isn't a big gun now they could never have been a dominant force in Europe?? I mean they didn't produce a Ballon D'or winning player in Raymond Kopa or anything??
Translator wrote:Yes I am regardless of how much we do or don't win, but unlike some if we conceded 6 to a rival away let alone at home we wouldn't sit there and pull ourselves over dreamed up score lines, we actually protest and let the club and players know that it's not accepted.

We like to put things in perspective, Barca that year were the greatest footballing side that has ever played football, we can't begrudge them that and besides we have beaten them 5-0 and 11-1 before. It had nothing to do with effort, the effort was there we were just simply outclassed on the day.

This is the problem with Inter's philosophy and the chief reason they haven't had as much success in Europe as other great teams, defending will almost never win you a tournament, you look at the successful sides Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, AC Milan, Liverpool etc. all of these great sides have had great attacking players with experience who go out there to dominate possession and score as many goals as possible, rarely do you see such a defensive team win in the Champions League, except I suppose when the defensive is so good that it is virtually impossible to score against them (e.g. Helenio Herrera's Inter Milan and arguably Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan pending they win the Champions League)

Anyway, I see your civility goes out the window when someone has an opposing opinion to yours, so we'll have to agree to disagree
