Limnos to fold- Rumour

Post by Nova »

Heard a rumour at a star studded function on the week end that Limnos were in dire straights and in danger of folding!
Anyone confirm :?:

I don't think they should fold. Perhaps a raise on the river card might get them the pot.

Im sure with many Limnos boys on this forum telling us how much they
love the club over the last 2 years im sure there are many of them lining
up to join the committee and keep their great club alive.

Maybe Frappe can take over, his passion for the club runs deep.

Perhaps they made the mistake of raising with big slick while under the gun or on the small blind pre flop. Might have been a wiser move to call any bet and see what happens after the flop, represent the flop with a strong bet and take down the blinds or perhaps get a caller or 2 and rake in a bigger pot.....Or play it totally wrong and get fingered in the pit.

Only one club at francis rd and you are not one of us Mr hooligan. Masos do not care if limnos live or die.
Maybe the Limnos boys can come to Francis Road? Plenty of room to play Poker after training.

Spoke to the main men themselves when they came past work the other day.Its true they are folding, only because they dont have enough people to help and run the club. Financially they are stable, not short of sponsors, just not enough help,i have been on committees myself,i know where they are coming from. Its a shame.
AND REMEMBER IF ANYONE CAN-THE CANDYMAN CAN

That's a shame if its true! I hope they can find another couple of people and keep the club going for abother year and then try and recruit some committee memebrs.

Caught up with the lads last night.

Its true candyman. The boys are taking a well deserved break. It is unfortunate that there is no-one to take over in the running of the club.

I would have done it myself, but I can't guarantee the 110% effort required due to the uncertainty with work.

MUFCBOY why are you leaving?

typcial effort.......lots of talk but when it comes to the walk there's no one there to carry the flag.......maybe Limnos should take the same approach as the Greek Olympic Commitee and start hiring some Albanian help

Are you offering?

Because you like the club and support/play for them doesn't mean you can devote lots of time to the running of the club. It takes alot of effort to run a club and in my case if you can't even commit to being in Adelaide most of the time. how can you commit to doing the job?

Not sure I'd be welcome at the club as my surname isn't 58 letters long and ends with and "s"

don't think your club is taking the right approach, instead of looking at a few people to "devote lots of time" maybe you should be looking and lots of people devoting a bit of time......either that or go the Albanian approach......I hear African could be an option for the club as well.

You could change the name of the club to Limnos Zulus.

We had so many African players who's names weren'tt 58 letters long or ended in 's' so yeah looks like the Albanian approach is best.
