I watched the game as well, even first half, not sure why it turned the way it was, not a dirty game at all, just one slightly late challenge from the Wanderers forward on one of the defenders, then one of the Villa guys, big one with the ball head decided he wanted to punch someone, I feel sorry for the tall wanderers guy on the floor who was just doing his laces up at the time, a Villa player must have run 30 metres to kick him in the head, hope he recovers from that, ref done the right thing after that should have sent a few players off before he abanded it, as it looks like the culprits will get away with it.Jack Mehorf wrote:maine road wrote:ye i watched this game and wanderers were all over villa, so villa thought it would be better to start flying in with a few tackles then thought it would be even better to start flying in with a few punches and kicks....ref decided to call it off... must say it was a good first half to watch......i think you were the only guy there with a handbag!soccerman wrote:i hear there were a few handbags thrown at the villa wanderers game which lead to the game being called off????????![]()

Good luck to you lads today.
Thanks for clearing that up........game was an even contest.........should have never got out of hand and IMO the referee did a fantastic job. All others involved did well to stay out of it and calm the situation down which could have turned very ugly. 1-1 after about 70 not sure on the exact time so result could stand.Bodø Glimt wrote:He's not laughing at you but at they guy who doesn't know how to quote properly.soccerman wrote:if you read my post i said i heard which would indicate that i wasnt there????
Last year Mount Barker C2 v Fc Adelaide was replayed after the original game was abandoned for weather on about 60 minutes.Kitchimo wrote:Ask Croatia about replayed games and the SAASL. What was it, 8 minutes?

Don't have the documents handy, from memory most of the changes related to individual players as opposed to punishing clubs.John Cena wrote:Kitchimo wrote:There were a whole bunch of rule changes to the disciplinary rules this season to cover a melee and pitch invasion etc - let's see if they are enforced.

Sad to see this happen, as it was a great game to watch, both teams were playing well and didnt look like it would end that way.
It all started when the wanderers striker put a late tackle on an AV defender. When the defender went to get up, he was bundled over again. A few AV players went to stop a scuffle happening, to which a few more wanderers playing got involved. It happenned close to the sideline, just in front of some supporters kids, who in the process, the parents rushed over to get thei kids. This lead to the wanderers supporters running onto the pitch as well as th AV supporters.
It got out of hand as a few players from both teams started throwing punches.
The GK of the wanderers was a disgrace. He ran the length of the pitch, just so "he could kick someone in the head", he said as he boasted to his supporters. Luckily he didnt connect, but he SHOULD B ASHAMED of himself.
Dont worry, Ref heard it, and I will b surprised if its not mentioned in his report. Ur a disgrace mate, and hopefully KARMA catches up with u!
above all, REF did the right thing. He had duty of care, cos if he restared game, their would of been some violent repercussions. Sad, end to game, especially as AV have not been involved in an abonded game since its inception in 1974!
oh well, i BELIEVE GAME WILL B REPLAYED, as only 60mins had been played!
..not sure what game you were @.from a mutual supporter i didnt see any of the wanderers players kick anyone, nor a gk run the length of the pitch to kick someone...lets all stick to writing the truth on the forum & not making up rubbish...funny you talking up karma after the rubbish you have just wrote......Chivas wrote:Villa V wanderers game was called off, 15mins into second half after a pitch invasion.

Did you play or watch the match, you must be talking about the Villa player surely, I was watching with the game, and have to say I am ashamed to be Italian based on some of the players actions and cowardness, never thought I would see what I did at local game of soccer.Chivas wrote:Villa V wanderers game was called off, 15mins into second half after a pitch invasion.
