Wasn't at game so cant comment too much... only to say that either side had a penalty that was not converted. Also, sounds like a positive game played by us with few missed scoring opportunities. Gleeson next week. PS- dont know b's result.

First win for the reserves since I can remember..very poor refereeing for the home side especially in the second half ...should have really scored more but happy with the win
scrappy game in the A's with the Comets starting well and creating a few good chances... conceded a goal from a mistake at the back... however Comets deserved the win on the day

Would probably be fair to say that we controlled the majority of the game, but full credit to the Breakers who fought hard all day and created a couple of good chances themselves. We pushed hard for the winner in the second half and created our best chance with 10mins to go but the dam ball just wouldn't go in

All in all it was a good clean game from both sides. Look forward to our return match in Victor. I think the team may be planning to travel up on the Friday night. Could mean a long 90mins come Saturday :?

Better game today from gleeson, still a lot to improve on though. Game wasn't as easy as the scoreline suggests. FC were reduced to 10 men in the first half but continued to fight all day. Good bunch of guys, keeper pulled off some excellent saves.

A's - What a game, Lion took an early lead only for Pumas to hit back hard and score twice to be 2-1 up. Pumas began to control the the last 20 mins of the half and were unlucky not to go further ahead after hitting the bar and post 2 or 3 times. Djoko then leveled proceedings before half time to make it 2-2. Second half, Lion responded to a half time bollocking began to control the game and looked to have scored a third when the ball clearly crossed the line, only for the linesman to rule it out. Pauly Waters then scored for Lion with a nice strike on his wrong foot from 20 yds, one which looked to be a winner with ten to play. Pumas hit back again in the end to end game only to be denied by the post for a 4th time. Pumas scored the equaliser on the counter with 5 to go when a strike took a wicked deflection. Both teams had chances to bury the game, but couldnt when needed leaving both teams un/satisfied with a point.

B's - Our lads went behind early, but snatched one back from a John Shmoo long thrown which was bundled in by a Pumas player. Our boys (Lion) having picked up last years C grade boys, began to gel and scored again from another long throw. It was a tough game, but the boys showed plenty of spirit to grind out a well deserved 2-1 victory.


Pumas who have a young, well drilled side are no pushovers and should be competing for the title come season end.

Congratulations to Saints on a fighting performance from the kick off. Saints desire and hunger were the key to the win. Saints had a man sent of late in the first half and another right at the finish. Many yellow cards for the Saints also only proving their fight today. In all honestly only the odd half bad tackle with most infringements being minor. Couple of nice goals from Saints and a late consolation from us summed up an entertaining game. In my opinion we deserved something out of the contest but that's the way it goes sometimes.
