Results Sunday 2010/04/11
Reserves Cup
Asteras 8 Greenock Town 6
When Greenock made it 7-6 I thought it was going to finish with either a score you'd find in a penalty shootout or Greenock would force a bizarre extra time, but Asteras scored directly from the resulting in the above score.
Plenty of goals in the senior fixture too. Asteras were down 0-5 to Blue Eagles when I left at half time.

Re: Results Sunday 2010/04/11
TTG 3 Pirie 2.
Pirie 2 nil down first 15 minutes from some sloppy defending then, pretty much out of nowhere clawed back to 2-2 by half time after socring 2 goals in 5 minues then in the second half pretty much end to end stuff without a lot of clear cut chances until about 15 to go Pirie again failed to clear a corner and the TTG player found himself 2 feet out with the easiest of tap ins to seal a hard fought but probably derserved win.
For Div 2 sunday i found the game quite entertaining and look forawrd to going out to more of these games this season.
For Pirie I think they will need to rely on really making use of there home ground advantage to be in the race for promotion as they had 5 players out today due to not having the time to travel so maximum points at home and scrape a couple of wins away will be their best chance to be around the top half of the ladder.
(B's TTG 2 Pirie 0)

Vikings v Farm
C's 1-0
B's 0-1
A's 2-2
A late strike from the Vikings drew the game after they had taken the lead in the first 10 mins. A 40 yd Volley looked to have won it for the farm with 15 to go but the points shared was probably a fair result.

The way they talk the farm up in these forums, and the predictions from the other thread i was expecting to see something special. but in the end they were pretty averageJust a spectator wrote:Vikings v Farm

P.Gardens vs E.Vale
C's 0-0
B's 3-1
A's 0-0
C's - was a good game, a few good chances for both sides but some "C-grade" finishing kept it scoreless. Would like to thank the Gardens ref for the Cs. Good bloke and refd the game without bias... More club refs like him would be great!
B's - Well Vale never really looked in the game. Gardens much brighter and much better from first whistle to last. Apart from young Michael Francis coming off the bench to slot a consolation goal not allot of bright points for Vale to talk about.
A's - VERY physical game, some Gardens players out to break Hoppos legs from the get-go. might have hurt them in the long run because Hoppo was probably our best player. All the attention seemed to fire the bloke up and he sure proved he was the bigger man by keeping his head (relatively well) The ref left his cards at home today. Extremely poor more than once! Both teams shouldve had 2 or 3 guys on yellows, if not 1 or 2 reds handed out by the end. 0-0 was a fair result IMO

Re: Results Sunday 2010/04/11
went to florina today and watched a cracking game. thought the downs deserved at least a draw if not the win. the game was slightly ruined by a nightmare of a referee that blew for everything and could have let things go a bit more.
Re: Results Sunday 2010/04/11
Good results for Vikings - draw with Ingle Farm - and West Beach - draw with Fulham - May not be 3 points to start with but Im sure both teams will take those results.
Re: Results Sunday 2010/04/11
Good games all round but in the A's could have gone Fulhams way with the crossbar hit late in 2nd half and a header just going wide in the dying minutes but in the end a point is better than none in round 1.leftfoot10 wrote:West Beach V Fulham

A good result for East today against a solid Grove outfit. Grove had a player sent off for a stupid foul on Miller in the box, clear on goal and gave him a love tap from behind (just the way Miller likes it!!!). East pretty much controlled most of the tempo of the game, although Grove did have a too much of the ball once they got their player sent off.Far King wrote:East 3 Grove 1 (Res 1-2)
Still the "Eastside Massive" was a hit with the fans as was the presentations after the game, shame the Grove boys didnt quite stay long enough. Not happy that Miller got BOG though? He must have had a relative chosing from the Grove supporters.....
Cant wait for the soreness to be gone, and next week to come already!!!

If Bosna can keep their team together, points will be hard to come by for opposition teams at Hanson Road and I can't see them getting relegated like some have predicted.

so much for the "munno para always have trouble beating Gawler" which I was told by a Munno Para A grader over the weekend. Good win for both teams lads. Well done.

I don't think Farm have been talking themselves up I think others have due to their results thus far. No game is an easy game in Div 1 or 2predator wrote:The way they talk the farm up in these forums, and the predictions from the other thread i was expecting to see something special. but in the end they were pretty averageJust a spectator wrote:Vikings v Farm

Didn't see the game, but watched Sturt v East in Preseason and Miller is quick but goes down very very easily one to watch especially near the box
