Congratulations Toon
Welcome back to the Premier League boys and well done Chris Hughton.

I think they're still skint so can't see them spending too much. I assume they're still up for sale though as fat boy Ashley is still there? Seems to have gone quiet on that front but now they're back as an EPL team, I wouldn't be surprised to see them sold.Bomber wrote:Will they go on a spending spree or stick with the majority that got them up?

Re: Congratulations Toon
they have a decent premier squad, depends if carrol goes to jail or not but prob need another striker and prob strengthen the mid as butt will prob leave, will be good to have a north east derby again with both teams playing attractive footy

Re: Congratulations Toon
good on em. alot of thanks would go to kevin nolan, the goal scoring midfielder. but they will have to buy a few quality players if they wanna have a chance of not fighting for relegation again. they have more going for them tho for a promoted team, they are a massive team compared to the likes of burnley, stoke, hull etc to thats more likely to compell players to go there. good team , great stadium, hope they stay in EPL now.

don't you want to see them relegated again, its on the cardsOutlaw 2.0 wrote:bunch of gob shites get your muscat back down there with the smoggies where you belong!

What's the matter, had 1 year as the North Easts top dogs and you want more. The reality is nobody cares about your club nor has even heard of them around Europe.
Be grateful for a Derby next year, or do you prefer playing the likes of Wigan in front of 10,000 fans.

I doubt it Bomber think they are a bit tight for cash.Bomber wrote:Will they go on a spending spree or stick with the majority that got them up?
Lets hope they don't follow the Hull City who are facing financial meltdown if they are relegated. Apparently they have spent beyond their means in a bid to stay in the top flight.
Re: Congratulations Toon
i dont think they are gonna be that tight, they are a way bigger club than hull. not to say things are gonna be easy, but they shouldnt have that many troubles negotiating for signatures.ozzie owl wrote:I doubt it Bomber think they are a bit tight for cash.Bomber wrote:Will they go on a spending spree or stick with the majority that got them up?

funnily enough, a lot of talk over here that they want hughton sacked and shearer back in charge.
newcastle fans are almost as delusional as leeds fans. newcastle bigh club go one about selling out their ground all the time, obviously they weren't around in the 80's when the ground was half empty.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:
Colossus: One House
Costa: One Lunch
Oh and add in
Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

surely it's better to go back to the Championship and challenge again to get in the EPL than to go bust trying to stay up and going down next season if you succeed anyway?

Re: Congratulations Toon
What Hull did wrong was that they signed up heaps of free agents after they were promoted to the Premier League. Because they didn't have to pay a transfer fee what they did instead was offer the players huge wages so that they would sign and now if they get relegated all of those players will leave meaning Hull have to pay out the rest of their contracts which they cannot afford to do.Loppermann wrote:bloody hell, will clubs never learn?ozzie owl wrote:I doubt it Bomber think they are a bit tight for cash.Bomber wrote:Will they go on a spending spree or stick with the majority that got them up?
