Re: SUNDAY DIV 3
I do not condone violence, but you westies people who continue to write lies on this forum should be ashamed of yourselves. The incident in question was witnessed by NO ONE, the attack did happen, the SAASL will punish the person who committed this act.
What the perpetrator of this STUPID ACT will pursue is the fact that RACIAL VILIFCATION was part of the reason he committed the offence. He will accept whatever punishment is handed to him.
The fact that some westies people come to watch our trial games and tell the match officials that our players have violently attacked a match official is in poor taste, the players and supporters of the M.U.Lions do not condone violence! towards anybody and hope the officials who officiate our games DO SO without BIAS.

I am sorry but even if he was racially victimized violence should NEVER be used as a response! On or off the field... If the SAASL is lenient towards the person in question because he yells "racism" it will open the door for people to claim this as a defence every time they respond violently to verbal abuse. I did not see the incident, or any part of the game that led to the incident, but if the person in question physically touched an official (or even a crowd member, or another player) I hope he gets a hefty suspension or life ban!
and I am not saying that the person in question wasnt racial abused, nor am I condoning ANY racial abuse, simply stating that it should not be a valid defence for a violent act.

Re: SUNDAY DIV 3
well maybe we should get barred as you put it but let me ask you what should happen to your lot for pulling out a gun at a sunday amateur game?????? and throwing bottles at spectators etc....people who live in glasshouses shoulnt throw stones pal whether croatia got robbed or not is not for us to deliberate rather for the league, who made their decision based on the referrees report. We had nothing to do with that incident. This has nothing do do with this post so stop stirring up krap when your own clubs reputation isnt exactly squeaky cleanaussieineurope wrote:well we cant be held accountable for what SAASL does but unfortunately that wasnt the determining factor as there was 19 other games through the course of the season and its pretty sad if thats what anyone would blame your promotion chances on...but your wrong because it didnt involve the maco's other than the game was played against us.....the game was abandoned because of the opposition teams actions which we had nothing to do with....we played Bramhma after that game and beat them so they did have plaenty of opportunities to go up and even if the game was replayed what makes you think we wouldve lost???
Other teams actions.
Well should you get barred from this years league as one of your team members Kicked, Abused, Punched a linesman?????
I believe croatia were robbed and deserved a rematch

Andy b your spot on pal....violence is not acceptable regardless of circumstances however it is difficult to predict or even prevent white line fever. The club has taken what is considered appropriate action to ensure within the clubs powers an incident such as this does not occur again.

I would never expect a club to be able to prevent 'white line fever' it is up to the individual to contain themselves and the point i previously made is aimed at individuals, just used this situation as an example.
As for your club taking appropriate action... I dont think there would be any club out there that would condone physical violence. I only hope ALL clubs are as hard on people that act inappropriately as I know mine would be. Its unfortunate that one persons actions can tarnish a whole clubs reputation.

they'll be getting around again mate, the difference is that those lads are experienced enough that when they give you a 'love tap' off the ball no one knows it was them... even youredfred wrote:i take it hobbsy and ricky arent playing thuis year andyb
Re: SUNDAY DIV 3
Sorry mate that type of player is a dying breed "the experienced kicker behind play" or love tap as you call it.andyb wrote:they'll be getting around again mate, the difference is that those lads are experienced enough that when they give you a 'love tap' off the ball no one knows it was them... even youredfred wrote:i take it hobbsy and ricky arent playing thuis year andyb
