UK Club Trials in Adelaide this Easter!

Post by Ronaldinho »

This Easter UK Pro Club Crewe Alexandra F.C. will be sending Jim Vince, (1st Team Scout and Academy Coach) to South Australia and Victoria to search for potential talent for their World famous development Academy in the UK. Crewe Alexandra are one of only a handful of clubs outside the Premier League to be given the title of Academy due to the strict guidelines set by the English Football Association that need to be met to achieve Academy status.

The players who have passed through the ranks at Crewe include the international players Geoff Thomas, David Platt, Rob Jones, Danny Murphy, Robbie Savage, Neil Lennon. Seth Johnson, Dean Ashton (West Ham Utd) and even Bruce Grobbelaar (Liverpool). Recent players who have been sold in the past two seasons include Luke Varney (2 million to Charlton) and Nicky Maynard (2.25 million) to Bristol City. Crewe Alex are a club that survives on their ability to seek out talent and develop them under the guidance of Dario Gradi MBE, Neil Baker and Jim Vince.

We are giving all players in SA between the ages of 10-18 years the opportunity to nominate themselves for consideration for the trials. Trials will take place at West Barratt Reserve, Adelaide Shores between 12th and 15th April and will be led by Jim Vince (Crewe Alex 1st Team Scout) and local Academy coaches Danny Graystone and Terry Eadie.

This is a fantastic opportunity for players wishing to make the grade overseas to put themselves in the shop window or obtain feedback from a Professional Academy coach on their potential development. All players will be compared to Crewe’s current Academy scholars and graduates and will be offered an honest and fair assessment and future development plan without the expense of travelling overseas. Opportunities at Crewe Alex will be offered to those players who fulfill the requirements for scholarship or Academy placement.

There is also the opportunity for Jim to assess players individually during his time over here if you prefer to be assessed in your club based environment.

To nominate yourself, one of your players or a team mate for these trials please send a brief email outlining your/their playing history and future goals and any other supporting information via email to: d.graystone@optusnet.com

Alternatively should you require any further information please call us now on : Terry 0431 164 214 or Danny 0402 435 267
