My guess is that Iggies, Gleeson, Navarino and Comets will fight it out for top honours. Budapest, if Popovic plays will def cause some major headaches. The long trek to Breaker-land will also cause some teams trouble. Throw in an un-predictable FC Adelaide and MA Hawks and you have got yourself a tough league.

My top three:
Comets
Gleeson
Navarino

comets should be close , they have picked up a few players from the feds team, good news that there going to have a Cs team as well

According to the SAASL, these Div 2 teams have 'Cs' (in Division 6):

FC Adelaide
MA Hawks
OISC
Comets
Southern Breakers

Supplemented by:

Mt Barker (Div 3)
Vipers C2 (Div 1)
Torrens Valley (one team)
Flinders (Div 3/4)
Monarchs (Div 3)

Rumour is the comets went to studio 2000 and took photos for the year book!
The problem was they couldnt fit all the boys head in the shot.

After playing Comets in a preseason trial - they will be hard to beat. Star recruit Daniel Tsagouris is going o/s mid season which could leave gaps in their attack.

Comets to finish top with Navarino and Hawks tussling it out for 2nd spot.

Comets have definitely picked up some great players and I am also tipping them to be in the top 3 easily. But I can confidently say, results from any pre-season trials should be taken with a pinch of salt!

Gleeson have recruited well over the summer and will be fielding the strongest side the club has ever had. With a good win over last years winners Salisbury Villa. We will be going into this season with high expectations for promotion.

Boh gleeson and villa were under maned, with majority of gleeson players having to play A's and B's. As for iggies we played there A's and drew 3-3 but i was not there so cant comment.

No you played Iggies' C's. The A's and B's played Raptors on the weekend.

You played Iggies C's (Division 4). Our A's & B's (Div 2) played Raptors on Sunday.

Yep you did play Iggies C's which is their 4th team, and drew thats pretty disapointing seeing that its was your clubs First Team..

Yeah, that makes sense

No offence, but it comes fairly obvious which league (4A or 4B) you played in last season. From the matches I saw, there was a vast difference in quality between the two leagues. The difference in quality between Pumas As and Pumas Bs was also quite significant.

How about this for perspective: Our Cs that travelled to Torrens Valley at the start of the last round of matches (I think Round 15 or 16) lost 2-3. That team contained about 6 or 7 regular D Grade players (as they had a bye that weekend). That was in comparison to two previous victories with solely C Grade players (9-0 and 5-0).

i personally think it will be out of nav's comets and gleeson. Navarino look to have a great squad this year with a few federation players and the squad is full of young talent
