Why doesn't Port Pirie start at the bottom like other clubs who join the league?

I think it would be a joke if they started in lower divisions and won 10 nill throughout the season.

Sense must prevail in these unique circumstances.

Wouldn't it be the merged team that folded leaving a place for the club that would normally get it when a team folds?

USC Lion should be starting at the bottom, just like Salisbury Villa, Adelaide Pumas, Adelaide Villa and Simba of Congo were forced to by the SAASL. Where is Simba of Congo btw?

I agree Pirie will be good for the Sunday league.

Villa though did a 3 2 1 in the Sat divisions as they know the divisions depth is not like sundays.

u guys won the sun division league once with a very good side but could not back it up the next year when other teams did not under estimate you anymore (think u finished mid table the year after you Sun Div 1 league title).

Too bad u guys didn't stay in the sun league as Sat league for u guys is not enough of a challenge and u will again by in the top 2 no doubt.

That's not the point. The point is that the SAASL made Adelaide Villa, Salisbury Villa, Adelaide Pumas, Simba of Congo etc start at the bottom. The bottom is currently Satruday Division 4. Pumas and Simba played there last year, and earned promotion into Division 3. If a team comes accross from Sunday (or vice-versa, if a team moves accross to Sunday), they should start at the bottom.

(Villa actually only did a 3 - 1 btw, they were runners-up in Division 2 )

well as long as usc lion are in the bottom division and replaced by whoever finished next in div 4 (presumably Simba) then i will have no issues.

There is no guarantee they'll win comfortably week in week out.

What makes USC Lion so different to the other clubs that have moved across to saturdays. It would appear they have taken Simba's place. Is that fair on Simba?
