ROBERTO MANCINI has been involved in an astonishing bust-up with Craig Bellamy.
It ended with Manchester City's boss screaming at the player: Get out - and don't come back for THREE MONTHS.
Mancini exploded after Bellamy refused a request to train on Thursday with one of the manager's Italian staff.
The £14million striker was ordered into Mancini's office, where the pair had a heated exchange.
A stunned insider said: "The manager was yelling 'Why are you always questioning me? Why won't you do as you are told? Why are you always questioning everything at training and in games?'.
"Bellamy argued back that he only wanted what was best for the club.
"But Mancini snapped 'I want you to leave now. And do not come back for three months'."
Bellamy had just completed a one-on-one training session on Wednesday with a member of City's sports science department, when he was approached by Mancini's Italian trainer.
He told the Welsh international to report to him on Thursday for more training, which Bellamy refused to accept.
He insisted only he and the sports science staff knew how to handle his injured right knee.
After the bust-up, Bellamy stormed away and was immediately contacted by City chief executive Garry Cook and the club's football administrator Brian Marwood.
They advised him to return to training on Thursday. But Bellamy refused, insisting he would go back only when Mancini invited him to.
Bellamy had a meeting with Marwood last night. He was again advised to return to training today and apologise to Mancini.
While Bellamy is expected back at training, he will refuse to apologise, telling Marwood he has no reason to say sorry.
Bellamy joined City in January 2009 and is a huge fans' favourite for his wholehearted displays.
The bust-up is the worst possible preparation for City's Eastlands showdown with Liverpool on Sunday, as both clubs battle for a Champions League place.
Marwood and Cook are desperate for Bellamy to play because top scorer Carlos Tevez is in Argentina following the premature birth of his child

Surely Mancini would have spoken to the Physio's first...
sounds a bit dodgy to me.

When things are finally looking up for Bellamy, something always goes wrong.
I don't think Mancini liked Bellamy from day one and vice versa.

Re: Bellamy and Mancini Bust Up
Bellamy is like Keane, never stays out of trouble with the manager at a club long enough to prove his worth.
Like Keane, the fans love him but don't know how much he unsettles the dressing room with his attitude.
None of my contacts in England have much time for him as he's a 'Legend in his own Lunch Time" (meaning he loves himself too much).

Re: Bellamy and Mancini Bust Up
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed that Craig Bellamy could be available for selection against Liverpool on Sunday.
The Italian has denied a report of a serious rift with the striker, who has been sidelined with a knee injury.
However Mancini said they had a difference of opinion about the way the problem was being managed.
He will now monitor Bellamy's fitness over the weekend and the Welshman might come into contention and face Liverpool.
According to the report, Mancini screamed at Bellamy after the player refused a request to train on Thursday with one of the manager's Italian staff.
The Italian apparently then told him not to come back from three months.
That was emphatically disputed by Mancini, who said: "Today Craig is here, working with the physio. It was the same yesterday.
"These things (an argument) can happen in a job. I don't have problems with Craig.
"I spoke with him in the office and read that I shouted at him. But I didn't. We just spoke face-to-face.
"He is having treatment at the training ground and if the knee is okay, he will be available for Sunday."
Mancini insists he can deal with Bellamy's feisty personality - as he has worked with the best in the game.
The former Inter Milan coach said: "I have worked with players who won the Champions League and the World Cup.
"They had the right attitude and that is very important. So I have no problem with Craig.
"He is an important player for us. I have respect for him and all my squad."

What the...? Keane played for us from 1993/94 until 2005 and over that time became a Club Legend! NOTHING like Bellamy.Old Master wrote:Bellamy is like Keane, never stays out of trouble with the manager at a club long enough to prove his worth.

As a Club Manager, maybe a little different. But it's two different job descriptions (player vs. Mananger).
Who?... Who is but a form, followed by the function of what... And what I am, is a man in a mask!

Clearly not obvious at all.The Kop wrote:Robbie Keane obv.
Not that I've followed Robbie Keane but what threw me was that I didn't think he was a problem for Managers. One of the comments I remember from Tottenham signed him (from Liverpool) was that he was great in dressing room and it's what they had been missing since he departed.

Not every club, At Celtic he was a managers and fans favourite.BAGGIO 15 wrote:Bellamy has arguments at every clubs he's been at.
Sounds like an easy guy to get on with.
We'll welcome him back.
Must admit though he has a mouth on him and must be a pain in the ass to play against.
Re: Bellamy and Mancini Bust Up
he really settled at celtic and we got some good goals out of him, but when we wanted to make it permanent his wages were too high and thats when the board started being tight, which has helped as we are only a couple mil in debt, and with CL and a title we will be debt free next yearyogi wrote:Not every club, At Celtic he was a managers and fans favourite.BAGGIO 15 wrote:Bellamy has arguments at every clubs he's been at.
