I took out "apparently" for you.

Shocking refereeing, and very unfortunate for Fiorentina, who when i was watching were playing very fluently.

That young guy Contento wasn't too bad for Bayern, seemed to be in the action quite a bit.

Well in Porto, let's see if you can concede less than 4 goals in the away leg like you did last time.

It wasn't even a Klose call, which is what really stuns me.

fabianski is a joke of a goalie he can't handle the pressure of playing for a big club and it showed tonight - the first goal he conceded was something a 10 year old keeper could have dealt with! Not happy with him...arsenal need to buy a world class keeper!
as for the second goal porto scored bloody crap...ref in the way of teh freekick and it was taken quickly and the backpass has to be intentional which it wasn't and minute earlier arsenal should have had a stonewaller of a penalty! these refs are crap

as for fiorentina if that ref or linesman ever get a gig again i will be amazed cos that was disgraceful - klose was a good 6 yards offside! can't believe in such a big game a howler decision was made also the red card was definately not a red card...obviously favoured the germans tonight at home...lets hope fiorentina get some revenge and win teh second leg

school boy error by arsenals defence. should of put a player in front of the ball when the free kick for the back pass was given. any team would take a yellow over a goal anyday

Referee got the decision absolutely correct.

A bit hard for Campbell to get there when the ref was blocking his path!

You can't expect the referee to evaporate into thin air.

Though what you would expect is the referee to stick to his decision of an indirect free kick and not change since it hit the back of the net.

How did he deviate from his decision of an indirect free kick though?

Under 10s know that a backpass is indirect FK. Just cos Porto were on the ball and took it quick whilst Campbell and Fabianski were pedestrian and the ref didnt have time to stick his hand up in the air should be a minor detail...

WTF was that red card? Honestly, Robben is a protected species, he is a fucken twat aswell.

Fiorentina absolutely robbed...match fixing anyone?
Tommy: We've lost Gorgeous George.

Brick Top: Well, where'd you lose him? He ain't a set of fucking car keys now, is he? And it ain't as if he's incon-fucking-spicuous now, is it?

Yep I'll say I was wrong, shouldn't have said he deviated from the original decision. What I should have got at is how he (the ref) clearly was not ready but let the game play on. Now you could say it was ok as Porto did the smart thing and take it quickly, which is true, and some refs could allow that - but when he was just sticking hid hand up and clearly was not ready, well a lot of refs would have brought it back, which is probably the "fair" thing to do.

If the team taking the free kick requests a wall to be back ten yards or the referee books a player then he has to blow the whistle to restart play but in this case it wasn't required.

You give away the free kick you get penalized... sounds "fair" to me.

Offside is the linesman's decision.
My wife runs the house much better than I could so I think she could be a linesman or a referee or even a football manager and that's the truth.

not all the time. if the ref can see an offside he can call it
