So how does this work? top 2 teams from each group go to next round then 2 groups of 5 then top 2 teams from those groups go into semi's ?

Last year the top 2 teams went through in the 5 team groups not sure about the four team groups

from the info I got (when group 2 was only one with 5 teams):
top teams from all 5 groups go through to 2nd round
runner up group 2 goes through, but runners up in other 4 groups are competing for 2 spots:
best 2nd place G3 / G5 & best 2nd place G1 / G4
this gives the final 8 quarter final spots

Pirates definitely not fielding a team nor it seems are Northern Demons (Group 2) - both don't appear to have U15s this year.
No South Adelaide, Gawler, Beverely, NAB or White City even though they have 15s)
Top team from each group goes through to QFs plus three best 2nd place teams.
