fulham doing ok in the market
celtic also loaned braafheid from bayern for rest of season, this and kamara loan have option to sign

the signing of kamara might see the end of samaras as they are very similar players

the mcdonald news has died down the boro looking elsewhere and negotiating the johnson deal, he looks like heading to city

Guys,

Some updates from today's news re: transfers

Edmilson Palmeiras -> Real Saragossa (till the end of the season, probably loan)
Diomansy Kamara Fulham -> Celtic (loan)
Paul Slane Motherwell -> Celtic (4 year deal)
Edson Braafheid Bayern Munich -> Celtic (undisclosed)
Geremi Newcastle -> Ankaragucu (undisclosed)
Victor Moses Crystal Palace -> Wigan (3.5 year deal, $3.5mln)
Arouna Kone Sevilla FC -> Hannover 96 (loan)
Benny Mc'Carthy Blackburn Rovers -> West Ham (2.5 year deal, undisclosed fee)
Martin Jorgensen Fiorentina -> Aarhus (undisclosed)
Mancini Inter Mediolan -> AC Milan (loan)
Daniel Cousin Hull City -> Larissa (loan)

+bonus - do you remember guy called Denilson? Some time ago he was the most expensive player on the world, Betis Sevilla paid 50 mln ($ if I remember right) in 1997. He came back to Europe after playing in Asia, signed for Kavala in Greece few days ago.

bonus.2 Some significant signings in January:

Ruud van Nistelrooy Real Madryt -> Hamburg SV
Patrick Vieira Inter -> Manchester City
Younes Kaboul Portsmouth -> Tottenham
Andrea Dossena Liverpool -> Napoli
Chris Smalling Fulham -> Manchester United (from new season)
Thomas Hitzlsperger VfB Stuttgart -> Lazio
David Beckham Los Angeles Galaxy -> AC Milan (loan)
Robinho Manchester City -> Santos (loan)
Luca Toni Bayern Monachium ->AS Roma (loan)
Landon Donovan Los Angeles Galaxy ->Everton (loan)
Eidur Gudjohnsen Monaco -> Tottenham Hotspur (loan)
Jo Everton -> Galatasaray (loan)
Yildiray Basturk VfB Stuttgart -> Blackburn Rovers (loan)
Amr Zaki Zamalek -> Hull City (loan)

Always heaps of loans in January. The teams struggling try to strengthen their squad but don't have enough money to permanently sign players so they loan them

birmingham were after boyd and mcgeady with a official offer for the former and only a verbal chat about the latter

mcgeady is on contract and should stay while rangers prob shot themselves in the foot with boyd off contract at seasons end and could move for free, costing rangers precious money, he has been offered a deal but is expected to move

Doc, could McGeady handle playing with the big boys in the EPL? Bit of an enigma isn't he?
