I wouldn't say he slapped him for no reason but he didn't need to do it as the security guards already had a hold of the guy.El Capitano wrote:

What's the betting man u get away with this and avoid all punishment. When it's Millwall or a smaller club they hit them hard, man u will get away with it.
Oh and congratulations to the bloke, it takes a big man to cowardly throw things like coins and bottles from distance at the back of a crowd.
That's a no good cowardly act and I can't believe people are proud that it happened. Where abouts in sussex was the bloke from?

Did you come on here and complain when City fans did likewise to Patrice Evra in the first leg?Hawkesy wrote:What's the betting man u get away with this and avoid all punishment. When it's Millwall or a smaller club they hit them hard, man u will get away with it.

We all know it was wrong.
A 26 year old from Heaton Chapel, Greater Manchester, has been charged.
Anything else?
Manchester United, not arrogant, just better.

That's partly my point. If something happens AGAINST a United player, it tends to be downplayed.
Heaton Chapel is close to Burnage, where those morons from Oasis originate.

Re: Payback time Bellamy
From the Guardian.
Police believe they may have saved a player from being seriously injured after darts and golf balls were confiscated from supporters before their club's Carling Cup semi-final first leg at Manchester City on Tuesday.
There were other flashpoints during the match, including the United left-back, Patrice Evra, being struck by a cigarette lighter as he went to take a throw-in. The Football Association's disciplinary department intends to write to City to see if they are confident of catching whoever was responsible and to determine whether there was anything more that could have been done to prevent the incident.
So, the FA will write a letter asking for City's version of events. Is that what you call a small club being "hit hard"?

What is it with people endlessly going on about United having fans from outside M11 or M16? Can nobody outside Heswall appreciate Ian Botham?Hawkesy wrote:[

Re: Payback time Bellamy
As a Man Utd fan, i think that behaviour from any club is unacceptable, should be hit with a hefty fine!
Bellamy Quality player, and maybe a not so great bloke but know one deserves to be treated like that by opposition fans!
Man Utd through and through, but unacceptable behaviour from a idiotic fan!

But you'll never find me on here praising anyone for throwing bottles at opposing players. Thats just pathetic. At least 'what a goal' had the sense to see that.

Re: Payback time Bellamy
FA will take little or no action against Man USA in the same way they continually let that boot licking moron Neville off without any punishment but then again I suppose it is difficult to suspend someone from a team when he doesn't get a kick anyway!
Great point from Hawkesey as well that Millwall don't play in Millwall as United don't play in Manchester - what's the point?
For the record I am from London and Botham is one of my heroes too.
