Lee Hughes was signed by Oldham a few seasons back, whilst still in prison for manslaughter, after a road accident which he fled, being under the influence, whilst playing for West Brom in the Prem. (I think)
Millwall fans have always been very vociferous in their disapproval of Hughes, who was once whisked away from the Den in a taxi before full time because of fears for his safety!
You may have seen numerous calls of "murderer" from Hawkesy, and also a fair description of the bloke: "good player, shit person" on here.
Although it's not official or a done deal yet, it's still good fun winding the Hawkeye up!
