Remember you learn more from defeats than you do from victories and considering we are in with a very good chance v Boardeaux in the UCL, this loss v AEK isnt such a bad one. For us to be where we are both in the league and in the UCL with our worst injury run since i can remember supporting THRYLE, id say we have done a masterful job so far this season

Colossus, I dont know too much about Olympiakos, other than they have some very good players, but Bordeaux have proved they are very very good, probably ahead of Olympiakos at this stage.

Gourcuff, Chamahk, Bellion, Cavenaghi, Tremoulinas and Diarra are all top notch, plus I think they have one of the best coaches in Europe in Laurent Blanc.

I never said i wanted PAO to win the Protathlima but rather lets see if they choke as they now are surely in the box seat.
PAO is Ellada's biggest under achievers as they spend as much as OSFP but win nothing. Really Greece should be a 2 team league but PAO ensure its dominated by OSFP. All the rest can't compete financially & thats a fact.

The goal that was disallowed but then stood is quite a complex issue.
Did he do enough to interfere with play?
The 4th official walking over from his spot overruling the offside and allowing it to stand, clearly after watching a reply, surely thats not within his role?

The clip wont show the full extent of the protests. Goal was disallowed by the assistant, Olympiakos players surround the ref and assistant, 4th official gets hounded by the Olympiakos bench. 3 minues after the goal is disallowed the 4th official marches over and advises in his opinion Mitroglou did not touch the ball (or interfere with play).


2 quality goals from Scocco. Cop that I say after Olympiakos' main newspaper bagged the sh*t out of him. 4 goals in the last 3 games against!

They may be ahead and they may win ( i never said it was a walk in the park) but when you look at the teams that have qualified for the knockout stages of the UCL, you cannot tell me Olympiakos could of got a much weaker opponent when you consider the quality and history of some of the others. Im not taking anything away from Bordeaux, and i believe every team that has made it this far has so for a reason but if you were in my shoes, id say youd also be pretty darn happy. With our injury list, im not surprised we are losing games in the domestic league, all im saying is that if i had a choice of all the teams that finished top in their UCL groups to play, Bordeaux would of been at the top of my list, thats all mate

Excuse my ignorance here but who are Juventus exactly since they were found to be cheats??? They are just a name these days and arent the Juventus of days gone by (probably because they cannot cheat anymore ). As for Bayern Munich, they are neither the current chapmions of Germany, nor are they currently top (although not far from top), and again not the powerhouse they have been in the past. Bordeaux on the other hand are the reigning French Champions and currently sit something like 9 points clear top in their current domestic campaign and it is no surprise they finished on top of their UCL group leaving an average Juventus and an alright Bayern in their wake. Yes they are a quality team and yes they will be favourites against Olympiakos, BUT i still would rather be facing them than facing Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Manchester United or Chelsea, hope you can understand what im saying. Like i said, either way, we stand to collect moula and since Kokkalis is about the moula, Olympiakos is happy and Zico keeps his job for at least another 10 or so months

Go back to our last Champions league game which wasnt all that long ago Kop and tell me we havent got half a squad out with injury. Only a one eyed AEK supporter would deny it and then only an AEK supporter with a stravomara would suggest he knows our full strength lineup. Diagoras Ole,the bigger and more succesfull of the Rhodes teams .This team was founded even before many mainland teams back in 1905.Dont think they ever went broke but from memory they stopped playing between WW1 and WW2 and re-emerged in the mid 40s.They were in A Ethniki from 86 till 89 or 90 and they even reached the semi,s in 87.Rodos FC was formed in 1968 and also has a big following having been in A Ethniki twice in the late 70s and early 80s.Funny u should mention Diagoras -PAO,,Diagoras won that game 3-1 at Diagoras stadium,and i still have both the Diagoras and PAO scarves i wore to that game.Even wore the blue and red Diagoras scarfe to a few Norwood matches back in the 80s.Carn the mighty legs!Ahhh they were the days!
