get back on topic
are you all having a laugh
hastling the referee to get someone booked is wrong
but the ref already gave out the yellow, but gave it to the wrong person. the bloke did the crime, but the ref gave someone else the time. of course you tell him about it.
how this can be compared to trying to get a guy booked when the ref has no intention on booking anyone is beyond me.

As I said, the captain having a quiet word in the referee's ear and the whole team circling him is two different things. An example is the keeper, who really had no need to get involved, and probably couldn't see who it was in the original incident anyway.

maybe not 11, but in some events players do hassle the ref to get the player a card. muscat and the melbourne faggots are a perfect example

Didn't that happen one or two years back in one of AU's ACL matches?

Cant completely remember it, but I do remember one instance where a player from United's opposition was telling the ref to give a United player a yellow, and ended up receiving the yellow himself. As I said, cant completely remember whether it was A-League or ACL, or who the opposition was, just remember it happened against Adelaide about a year or two ago.

I would say the foreign explosion began in the early 90's with matthew harding's chelsea. You take a look at an English game from the 80's and tell me how many players you see diving or asking for cards. There's your FACTS!!

well if its not domination then it was a very fucking good 10 or so years in europe, its good when you say fact trying to stir me up when its a good fact you bring up, celtic had a very good decade in europe, and for a club of our size in a league of low strength, have defied the odds in recent years and make the knock out stages,

Hawkesy, Stevie G, who by the way everybody rates very highly, is also a notorious diver. And he is English.

Why dont you just ban all the foreigners then you and all your xenophobes will be happy.

I wouldn't say ban them, but they should certainly be limited to 2 in each team. Ensuring each team has 9 Englishman on the pitch at all times.

As for Stevie G, I don't think he played too many times for Liverpool in the 80's. :?

Hawkesy watching a game in the 80s and a game today is a comparison. It is not a fact.

That is not a fact. That is your opinion and one which you provide no evidence of.

What are your credentials? Apart from being a 6 time SAASL Champion?

What am I supposed to do, link two entire football matches onto this forum, in fact should I link every game. It's not an opinion. If it's not a fact, prove me wrong because for every dive you find me in the 80's English game I will find you 10 since the 00's. FACT!!

Judging by most of the ill informed comments on this forum and lack of knowledge of the game (especially the English game), I reckon I've seen more this week than most.

it must really hurt that I come from the country that made yours it's prison. Otherwise, why do so many of you have to resort to racist name calling instead of being able to debate an issue.
