Are you going to have a granstand this year at least? I need weather protection if I'm going to come and watch
Re: VIPERS FC 2010 Pre-season training
The man for all clubs "Bored" is the x-factor many clubs well for a short period, thus I assume he is looking to dazzle Vipers with his sensational skills and ability.
The crowds for the Vipers will no doubt grow with the arrival of 'Bored'

D Team! Amazing growth at Vipers. Adding a team per year! Good news for the Saturday divisions.
Then the dilemma becomes:
Do we have two teams in the same division and potentially not win a title because the teams are spread 'evenly' (great for local derbies!)
OR
Do we have two teams in the same division and stack one of them to try and win a title
OR
Do we enter them in the lowest 'firsts' and 'reserves' division, knowing that the 'Cs' will potentially come up against some decent first-teams.

Re: VIPERS FC 2010 Pre-season training
From what I have heard the numbers look ok but always do before a ball is kicked in anger.
There are quite a few of us oldtimers still around the club this season so a D side is not out odf the question.
Having new youngsters come to the club for a C side is the main factor. Whether it is 4 this season or next, it will happen.
The club deffinately has grown and hopefully will keep growing over the next few seasons.
It has a very commited comittee and all looks rosey down at Viperville.

Question is are your boots ready ....Time to leave the barby and help the Vipers where it really matters

Re: VIPERS FC 2010 Pre-season training
Well we did option 'A' in 2006 and ended up finishing third and fourth, when a combined team of the 'best' players could have won that division, which is why in 2007 we went to a 'C' and 'D' structure, but felt it was unfair that they play in the same division. Raptors seem to do it fine on Sundays though.crue head wrote:Pretty much sums it up what I've been thinking!Kitchimo wrote:D Team! Amazing growth at Vipers. Adding a team per year! Re: VIPERS FC 2010 Pre-season training
I think it will be more of a case of guys just wanting to have a kick without any serious commitment to training or anything.... therefore a C1 and C2.... rather than another A's and B's in a lower 2 team league.
