That was the last big Italian team...we also beat Lazio pretty recently in the Champions League group stage, pretty sure we beat Lazio back in the days that El Macca and Morientes were roaming around Concha Espina as well.
Being entirely serious here, but I thought Milan beat Madrid 3-2 at the Bernabeu in the CL group stages of this campaign? I could be wrong, but thats what I thought?

HALA just remember most of your CL were bought with fascist money and don't count, so i would say the classy benfica sides of old were the true winners of the CL, as i don't count your first 5 which you bought, like you are trying to do now 60 years later

madrid: no passion or history, just cash  :clown:

Had to laugh at Mancini's quote in the English press.

I want top four this season and the title next, says Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini

Talk about putting your head in the noose. He won't be there next year if they don't get top 4 this season.

Actually I just checked...it's been about the same time since Liverpool last beat Italian opposition, same season anyway, thing is, we beat Lazio in the 2007 group stage, Liverpool beat Inter in the 2nd round in 2007. Should probably read all of what I posted...I said the last BIG italian team was Milan (no disrespect to Lazio).

Are you living in 2004?...

2009/10. Currently.

 Top scoring team of Champions League - Real Madrid
 Top scoring player of Champions League - Cristiano Ronaldo
 Club with most goal scorers in La Liga - Real Madrid
 Second favourite to win the Champions League this season - Real Madrid.
 2 points behind Barcelona in La Liga.
 Just demolished Zaragoza 6-0 this morning.
 Record 12-1-2
Seems to me as though we're one of the best teams in Europe right now. Project Perez is full steam ahead my friend.
