Breaking UCL news..kinda

Post by Red-4-Life »

CSKA Moscow may be thrown out of the UCL after 2 players tested positive for drugs of some sort. If Liverpool win tonight, they will be the team to replace them in the round 0f 16. just heard on FSN. UEFA will decide CSKA's fate soon.

There is hope still Reds fans :D

CSKA Moscow Duo Alexey Berezutskiy & Sergey Ignashevich Suspended After Failing Doping Test
The duo has been suspended following a positive doping test after the 3-3 Champions League draw against Manchester United...
CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutski will have to make do without defensive duo Sergey Ignashevich and Alexey Berezutskiy when the Russians take on Besiktas on Tuesday evening.

According to reports from Russia, UEFA has suspended the duo until further notice after a positive doping test in the aftermath of the 3-3 Champions League draw against Manchester United.

Ignashevich and Berezutskiy were caught using Sudafed, a medicine used for the effects of common cold. Sudafed is not on the list of forbidden substances, but UEFA are supposed to be informed about any use of the medication ahead of its actual use.

"This news comes as a big shock for the players and the club. This has nothing to do with doping and we expect UEFA to find a fair solution to this situation," a statement on the official CSKA website reads.

The Russian powerhouse claims that both players were treated with Sudafed during international matches with Russia to fight a potential cold.
