Canberra vs Lady Reds
Westfield W-League, Round 10
5th December, 5:30pm
Canberra United WFC vs Adelaide United WFC
@ Deakin Football Stadium, Canberra
Last game of the season for Adelaide, hopefully, just hopefully they can take a win from it! However, If Canberra win and Melbourne lose, the Victory will miss finals on GD so its almost a win-win situation
Go you Reds!

Re: Canberra vs Lady Reds
This whole tournament is a joke. How can you have semifinals after only ten rounds in an eight team competition? Surely to have any credibility every team should be playing everyone else home and away.

at least all teams should play eachother home and away and perhaps have a couple extra round on top of that...because teams improve as the season goes on and may struggle early but 10 rnds doesnt give those teams a chance to show that. Adelaide were improving...Perth have found some form but will miss out because of a lack of rounds. Maybe they will introduce more teams next season and have a longer season and improved league!

Re: Canberra vs Lady Reds
Definitely not. Either you play everyone home and away or you play everyone home and away twice. To have any credibility teams should be playing everyone home and away the same number of times.Red-4-Life wrote:and perhaps have a couple extra round on top of that

Re: Canberra vs Lady Reds
Two groups of five or six = 8 or ten rounds per team makes more sense than the current format.

have a split in the last 3 rounds...top 4 and bottom 4 play eachother haha ;)
but on a serious note...14 rounds would be ideal and any more should there be any new teams.

Re: Canberra vs Lady Reds
By having finals to determine a league champion (again another way it loses credibility) the current league effectively has a split. The top four play a post season knock out competition and the bottom four watch on t.v.Red-4-Life wrote:have a split in the last 3 rounds...top 4 and bottom 4 play eachother haha ;)
