What is your issue?? If you actually read my post i just said it would be a lethal combo. georgie the belfast boy actually put trimmers name in the mix!!! IF trimmers came down it would be great. Not saying he is. Who wouldn't want him in your team?? Great striker with bags of proven talent.Gabon wrote:If we pick up maybe a couple of others we will be in good shape for next year. There are some great possible names being thrown around.
And your not the one who's throwing the name around are you water boy?
I know what your on about now. Yeah he would be great to get too. Who knows what will happen with him. I rate him highly and would love to see him in an easties shirt for sure. I will do my best to get him down there. But in the end its up to him where he plays. Are you angry because you may loose your best player??

Not angry at all as every club wants to get players who will make their team better and as our captain he is one of our best players but as you said its up to him and i'm happy to leave it at that however if your keen to play in the same team as him with him your welcome to come out this year.

Yeah thanks but we've got a good thing going on down at the east this last year. maybe you should come back??? We are back up to where we should be in div1 and hopefully can build on the succes of last year.

Big slick you seem to think you know abit about the pontians. Did you play there this year or in the past? as for the names you have mentioned I can only make out 75% of them. We are still in October highly unlikely that certain players can make a commitment from now where they will play next year. From you previous post some big name players there, hope you got your facts right as the pontians could be in for another big year.Big Slick Posted: Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:37 pm Post subject:

how about we spend too much $$, buy some players, win the league and then fall flat on our arses the next year or so.....Fulham did it, Adelaide Villa did it, surely it the greeks turn??
go Pontians

Yeah, AV metro did well this year considering that they lost 5 players during the world cup and had 2-3 key players injured or unavailable. We did beat the top 3 teams this year and believe we were the first team to defeat the downs in the league??????
Neways, any team will struggle without key players during the year, so we did perform beta than expected.
And to straighten out ur theory of paying players, u will all b very surprised and shocked to hear that some players were not paid and the ones that were, did not receive that much at all.
So please do me a favour, get ur FACTS RIGHT before making urself look like someone with a limited intellectual capacity.
Thank you
Misa was offered a coaching staff position at Metrostars.Paleon Patros Germanos wrote:Bill Misalidis to Pontians???
Will they leave any players for us to approach???
He didn't take up the offer because he really wants to take the year off and concentrate on his family with his wife expecting a baby.
I'd be very surprised if he plays next year.
I think you'll find a number of clubs lost players to the world cup, not just Villa, so not really an excuse.Villa Boy wrote:AV didnt fall flat on there faces they didnt finish to high this season because they lost 5 starting players to the world cup. Get your facts straight. We beat all the top teams and lost the majority of our games when these players were overseas
In Div One Sunday this year, each team except NAB and Royal park had the potential to take points off one another.

Hey Big Slick you still didnt answer my question, are you a current or past player of the Pontians?
Would be great to have all the players mentioned on this post. Bit disappointing that if these players have decided to join the club that they havent been given the opportunity to tell their current clubs yet as Big Slick thinks he has a scoop!!!
Which player is coming from Seafood? Its a long way to drive from there.
As for Misailidis I heard the same thing that he and his wife are expecting their second child so he will take the year off.
How do you play for Paleon?

Not an excuse mate, but when u lose some of ur BEST players to the world cup like George H, Andy H, Mark P, Simmo (injured) Rick C (injured), Tony S - MOST teams will struggle.Mr X wrote:I think you'll find a number of clubs lost players to the world cup, not just Villa, so not really an excuse.Villa Boy wrote:AV didnt fall flat on there faces they didnt finish to high this season because they lost 5 starting players to the world cup.
