Brisbane vs Adelaide - Rnd 8
Thoughts?
The girls just need to show fighting spirit in this game so come full time they can hold their heads up high knowing they did their best unlike last weekend. Winning will be very hard as Brisbane have only ever lost one game and have a few Matilda's in their squad. I rekon theres gonna be a few ins and outs this weekend as well.
I think....Brisbane 2:0 Adelaide
Westfield W-League, Round 8
Brisbane Roar WFC vs Adelaide United WFC
Ballymore Stadium, Brisbane
6:00pm local time
I'll post team news once released by the website.

Re: Brisbane vs Adelaide - Rnd 8
really hope the girls put in a vastly improved effort this week. Brisbane are probably the strongest team in the league, 0-2 would a great result for us........can't see it happening though, 4-0 to Brisbane.

Re: Brisbane vs Adelaide - Rnd 8
It’s off to Brisbane and a David and Goliath match-up as Brisbane Roar host Adelaide United in a match that pits top v bottom in the Westfield W-League 2009 season. Although losing fullback Brooke Spence to a season ending ankle injury Brisbane Roar will be looking to continue the form that has seen them retain the only undefeated record in the competition to-date. Adelaide will be playing for pride as they still continue to work hard in the league but will be up against it when they face the inaugural champions at Ballymore Stadium.

An upset...2-1 to AU.
Good inclusions, some inspired playing and coaching, nothing to lose!

Re: Brisbane vs Adelaide - Rnd 8
if they can take the points that would be an incredible result! Defence will be reshuffled with some inclusions and some injuries/suspensions. Maybe it will do the trick. If they can finish their chances they create and defend wel its possible but i cant see it happening...maybe next week at home vs Sydney.
But...Impossible is Nothing!!!

Re: Brisbane vs Adelaide - Rnd 8
The defence will be under the most pressure they have ever encountered, especially when Brisbanes running backs come into play. If they had kicked straight against Canberra a few weeks ago that would have been a demolition before halftime.
Brisbane work as a disciplined team, and cover their running backs when they go forward. If AU players do not run down with them all hell will break loose. AU defenders will have a full time job containing forwards without the extra pressure of these Full backs joining the assault.

the humble pie now...
