So any news on the coaching front?

Appears Vista and Vipers have announced their new coaches,

Whats going on at PHW, Inter, Vale, Downs, Simba of Congo?

Has RobinFriday applied for any of these positions?

Heard there was 3 applicants for PHW job, and a private meeting was held away from the club, have they interviewed and appointed yet?

if Bert does decide to pursue playing interests elsewhere, will the down re-advertise given some potential candidates may have not bothered to apply, assuming bert would be re-signed?

I've heard yes, but they were looking for a fallback option just in case.

With him being at Olympic now would only help the cause.

I have heard that 5 people have applied for Vale Job.
Their AGM is Monday 30th Nov so a decision will hopefully be made shortly after that. The appointed Coach needs to be told before xmas surely

I find it very interesting that two of the biggest, most dominate clubs in the SAASL are leaving it so late to make an appointment.

Surely some of the applicants will find jobs elsewhere in the mean time and players that they may have wanted to chase will go elsewhere too.

I think you will find that both clubs have made their decisions but waiting to name it publicly.

The Vale are getting new Committee Members at AGM on Monday 30/11.
Decision on Coach will be made by new Committee is my understanding.

I heard Vale are appointing a new coach, who was in charge of another Div 1 Northern club last year?

Then again judging by Gingers comments, it may be hearsay??

Second hand info but apparently the decision has been made. Just waiting for AGM to make it offical. Could be rubbish but reliable source.

Its not hard to do unless you have muliple nominees for the executive committee of the club and they have different ideas on who they want as coach. As I said, you can select one, then do the formal announcement when the committee is offical after the AGM.

IMO: No 'one' candidate has been pre-chosen and the Decision on coach will be known in next 2-3 weeks.

If their Constitution is anything like ours I think you will find that officially the committee & senior coaching positions are vacated at the AGM. Obviously though clubs have a select group of people that interview for coaching position prior to AGM.

Still unsure, have been out training this week with Fed Prem Club & will have a hit out at another one also and then decide what i want to do. Have to weigh up the technicalities of Family, Training , Coaching my Son ( u/6s ) and Playing. The ageing body might not be up too scratch either so I might not get a game anyway.
