Hawkesy told me he was joining Norwood coz it's just around the corner, and he can get smashed and stumble home.

Sheepfoot Lane. Is that where Laney is from?
Dixie Dean was hailed by another Mersey legend, Liverpool’s Bill Shankly, as “belonging in the company of the supremely great, like Beethoven, Rembrandt and Shakespeare.”

60 goals, never to be equalled.

they don't play in Norwood though.

I think I already play for my closest side, would be close between Iggies and Raptors but I don't think I could realistically drop to down to the collegiate league.

Hey Futcha are Norwood moving up into the big league of the collegiate league or are they staying with the C'd & D's?

I was contacted by the collegiate league, asking if we would like to put a team in for next year. Our C's left the collegiate league as we could not register players in both collegiate and SAASL, where our A's and B's played. Mr Collegiate said they are trying to get players to be registered with both to get some teams back. (I cant see this happening). If this does happen i may be interested, but if not we are strictly SAASL.

Surely players can not be registered in two different competitions!

If so, I will go and register all the ABE players!

The SAASL don't recognise dual-registration, for good reason.

monetary issue as well, doubt SAASL would to happy to lose rego fees to a rival comp.

Yes. Despite their differences, both leagues work well next to each other in regards to administration.

it's quite simple really. Register a FFSA player to your SAASL club under a slightly different name. Maybe use his middle name as his surname. When SAASL find out, claim to know nothing about it.

The precedent has been set that there is no punishment from SAASL for doing this.

I remember when i was a young lad Junior registration required that a passport, birth certificate or similar was produced. Is this something that should be considered for senior football as the issue of players playing illegally arises every year.

exactly right, it doesn't happen anywhere else in the world, why should it here?
it'd be as ridiculous as Drogba playing in the EPL, UCL and FA Cup

but Drogba does play in all of those competitions. In fact, he's probably played in all 3 in the last fortnight.

or was that your point, in which case it makes no sense either as he played all those games for the same club.

if you're going to take my crown you need to make more sense than that.

aldo's mates - 2 clubs

Come on, i expect better than this from you.
