That is utter crap - he may have actually, through most of his career, struggled to get in the England side in a similar way to the fact that for the last few years he has not commanded a regular start for Manchester United.ozzie owl wrote:Pretty close ,I think if he had chosen England over Wales , you might find some trophy's in the England FA headquarters.Hawkesy wrote:best of all time.![]()

England struggled for a left winger for years once John Barnes retired. Giggs would have played over a 100 times for England in the last 15 years. He didn't really have much of a choice though, he was born in WalesOldRedback wrote:That is utter crap - he may have actually, through most of his career, struggled to get in the England side in a similar way to the fact that for the last few years he has not commanded a regular start for Manchester United.ozzie owl wrote:Pretty close ,I think if he had chosen England over Wales , you might find some trophy's in the England FA headquarters.Hawkesy wrote:best of all time.![]()

Know your history guys, Giggs could have played for England - he did!!! Well under a different name......
Re: Giggs the greatest of all time????
Yeah he did as Ryan Wilson but when the time came he made the only choice anyone born in Wales could have made. Played for England school boys cos he lived in Manchester and was easier to do so.e-football wrote:Know your history guys, Giggs could have played for England - he did!!! giggs would have got in the England side at LM easily. I don't think he qualifies though. Father unknown, mother welsh, born in wales.
He played for England schoolboys, But that is based on where you go to school and not on nationality.

Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:
Colossus: One House
Costa: One Lunch
Oh and add in
Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Re: Giggs the greatest of all time????
I think his dad is Welsh (Wilson) and played for Wales at Rugby Union. His mum is English ( I think) and they moved back to England when she left his dad. As I understood he had the choice to play for England or Wales.Hawkesy wrote:giggs would have got in the England side at LM easily. I don't think he qualifies though. I was pretty sure his mother is a taff as well.
I even more sure that he has no claim on an England place at all. I know it's not definitive but
