SA Teams at National Boys Championships - October 9, 2009

The South Australian Under 14 and Under 15 State Teams have put on strong performances in their respective Semi Final matches before going down to New South Wales Metropolitan at the FFA National Youth Championships for Boys today.

The Under 14 team went down to undefeated NSW Metro on penalties 4-2 after the being locked at 0-0 after extra time, while the Under 15 team lost to NSW Metro 3-1 after extra time.

The Football Federation SA would like to congratulate the players, coaches and officials for a great performance over the entire Championships and wish them luck for their playoff matches tomorrow.

U14 ACT 2 def SA 1 and Vic Metro def NSW Metro in the final 2-0.So close and yet so far.Well done boys ,you,ve done us all proud .Our 15s also finished 4th losing to Vic Metro but not sure wether it was 2-0 or 3-0.Overall both teams were rated as finals contenders from the very first game with the 15s finishing top in group stage and 14s finishing 2nd in their group stage.Fantastic tournament in Coffs Harbour and a credit to both teams and coaching staff.
