He's not even the greatest to come out of his little country.
Pretty close ,I think if he had chosen England over Wales , you might find some trophy's in the England FA headquarters.
That is utter crap - he may have actually, through most of his career, struggled to get in the England side in a similar way to the fact that for the last few years he has not commanded a regular start for Manchester United.

England struggled for a left winger for years once John Barnes retired. Giggs would have played over a 100 times for England in the last 15 years. He didn't really have much of a choice though, he was born in Wales

You're kidding? At his best he would have made the team for sure..

He is still a key figure at Man U also.

Yeah he did as Ryan Wilson but when the time came he made the only choice anyone born in Wales could have made. Played for England school boys cos he lived in Manchester and was easier to do so.

Giggs would have walked into the England side as he would filled the left sided void that England have never really covered.

giggs would have got in the England side at LM easily. I don't think he qualifies though. Father unknown, mother welsh, born in wales.

He played for England schoolboys, But that is based on where you go to school and not on nationality.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

I think his dad is Welsh (Wilson) and played for Wales at Rugby Union. His mum is English ( I think) and they moved back to England when she left his dad. As I understood he had the choice to play for England or Wales.

Ryan Giggs' birth certificate = Father UNKNOWN!!

I was pretty sure his mother is a taff as well.

I even more sure that he has no claim on an England place at all. I know it's not definitive but
Wikipedia wrote:Lawrie McMenemy, then coach of the England under-21 team, checked to see whether Giggs was eligible to play for England but discovered that Giggs had no English grandparents, and was therefore only eligible to play for Wales.

Think you are right Hawkesy, mind you Giggs would have been handy for England at LM.
