whats the point of bringing SASI players into the squad - they get enough development from playing in the mens league.

need to give other players opportunity - the more the better so that the pool of players can be increased to unearth further talent.

Is that a joke?
Jake Monaco- Played for U15 Australia and was in the team last year. MISSED OUT?
Angelo Varricho- Quality left sided player and in the team last year. MISSED OUT?
Giorgio Pantelis- Another quality left sided player and in the team last year. MISSED OUT?

Whether these lads missed out because of going away or maybe just got cut. I dont know but not seeing these boys in the squad is a bit odd for me. When you have boys in that side (wont name names) that IMO are overated in the squad and these lads who missed out not in it. Seems all like a bit of a joke to me.

Welldone to Alan Welsh. Quality Player. Worked hard and you got there mate. Well deserved.

Maybe selection a big top again.?

I believe Angelo has been injured for most of the season, still might be.

Angelo Varricchio & Giorgio Pantelis were both cut.
Jake Monaco was not selected due to the fact he will be in Canberra with the Joeys squad while the Nationals are on.

they still deserve to play at nationals. State teams are meant to be made up of the best players of that age in the state, no matter who they play for.

typical poor selection; big names rather than talent and team players. typically happens all the time unfortunelty, on the other side some players who got cut may also have been part of the lucky to be in. oh well the proof is in the games they play and performance

To be fair to the coaches, they can only take the 15 or whatever it is so they'll never be able to please everyone. Added to that, 14 and 15 year olds are notoriously inconsistent. Great one game and absolute garbage the next.

Will be interesting to see how Dion Kirk goes. Not an overly big lad. Hopefully he will get a decent run.
Good luck to the lad.

True, but he is a very smart player, with a good mentality and will adjust. I hope he goes well too.

Quality player, very modest too. Has the potential to play at a high level, slightly injury prone though.
