At last someone gets it!
I still think the C's should get promotion and relegation as their are 2 divisions though, but I guess it's the aussie way to not have that in their leagues.

Well it depends on the purpose for the C league though. If what Bill Bailey told me is correct, then it makes sense for the Cs on Saturday to follow their As (which is how it appears).
Personally, I think it would be great if the 'C' level has promotion and relegation because the strength of various 'C' teams would vary greatly from club to club, just because a club is near the top of Division 1 or 2 doesn't necessarily guarantee the strength of its C teams.
...and there are other clubs who's reserve sides are great but their seniors are no good. Should the reserves play at a higher level then amd split from the A's?
I've worked out the fixtures for the SAT PREMIER division. The A's, B's & C's are together for at least 15 of the 18 games (for the majority of the div 1 teams anyway)
Hawksey if you think your theory makes sense, provide us your fixtures next season and we'll compare. Until then I won't bother anymore as you must be stirring the pot.

Would it register as a triple header if both teams A's B's & C's played each other, but in Aldinga?

Sorry mate, but I'm not that sad to write a whole draft fixture list.

says the man with over 11000 posts. definately way to cool to be wasting your time on here.
We had all Sunday Div 1 teams have C teams this season and it was fantastic. All teams were either at home or away.
I think what should happen is that all the Sat Div 1 clubs with C's should have a league and if clubs don't have a C team, they are filled in with Div 2 C' teams. There is no promotion and relegation in the C's. They change every year in personal so it has no relevance as they are not the main team in that club. Classic example was Elizabeth Vale, they won the C team league in 2008 and finished bottom this year.
I would even remove calling the league Div 5 or 6 and call it the C team league. Only the first team should play in a division number with the reserves playing the reserves level of that competition.

I mentioned that to Bill Bailey when he told me why he had arranged the Saturday divisions as such - Division 5 should be called C1, and Division 6 called C2 etc. Unfortunately, no dice.

Thats a far better description though. Keep pushing for that, far better way of describing the league.

I've mentioned this before but Perth does that and this allows them to be a bit more flexible with rules regarding both (ie. the equivalent of the c's and o'35's has interchange as opposed to substitution)
I know I am a cheeky little devil but has anyone seen Mike Hunt in the car park?

Football has substitutes, not interchange!
