Congratulations to Modbury on the double this season in the 15a's.
Para played some nice football all year and hopefully learned a lot about themselves and how to behave and enjoy themselves both on and off the park. The respect you have earned from all around you, not just at Para Hills is testimony to the performances you have given all year. Remember lads, there are winners.....and then there are winners
Be proud of your achievments as we are of yours and look back on the season as one where you have all grown, not just as players but as decent kids too. When others in the competition were throwing their weight around gobbing off at every opportunity you carried on and played with much dignity and pride. No punches behind play, no spitting and no send offs was something I was very proud of....the thuggery quite often seen this year disapointed me and is somewhat becoming a culture at certain Clubs. Sometimes it's the way you play and not what you win that counts. There were teams who finished in the lower half of the table who earned my respect because of this very reason and I am sure they have lots to look forward to as well.
Good luck to all kids from all Clubs with trials fast approaching. Let's hope you can continue to develop as people and players next season and remember that your best is always good enough. 8)

Yes Rabbitt, that was well written.... I agree thoroughly re the thuggery in games but it certainly isnt new to this Season. As long as the FFSA, Clubs, Coaches and Parents are turning a blind eye to these incidents and in some cases condoning such behaviour then unfortunately our Juniors will never ever improve. Why so much importance is placed on Winning a league or cup at Junior level is beyond me. Until these Junior Coaches are brought in to line by their respective clubs and made accountable for their teams actions then things will continue to deteriorate. Teach the kids Football, Discipline, Sportsmanship and above all else Enjoyment of a GREAT game......

Agree with Rabbit and SID re the deterioration of sportsmanship in junior soccer. Surely kids must be taught sportsmanship first, soccer second and skip the thuggery lessons. Too many players sent off in the U15s this year. In some teams almost a weekly event. Racist comments have also been prevalent on the field which is a disgrace. Soccer, for some kids who come to Oz alone to escape the violence of home, is an escape. They get to meet other kids, feel part of a team, feel part of this country. They don't need to be called racist names while they're playing the game they love. My son has been lucky enough to play with some of these kids and they're really good people.

Onto who won the U15 league. Sometimes no justice but its better to lose with grace than win ugly. And I'm not from PH, just appreciate the way they played the game this year along with Campbelltown who played some lovely soccer as well.
