Re: Raptors Pre season
all in all probably a fair result today between Raptors and Para in the A's
Para went into half time 2-0 up after scoring their second with the last kick of the half. we didnt really create much in the first half and i thought if we could go in at half time 1-0 down, the second half could work in our favour seeing as we were going with the wind
second half, we managed to peg back the 2 goals but unable to grab that elusive winner as did Para. we were pretty patchy all day but pleased we were able to at least grab a draw
definately tight down the bottom of the table with the 4 bottom teams seperated by only 3 points.
Huge game this week v San Marco - last 3 games like a final
but the B's and both C teams are still fighting it out for the premiership - all 4 teams have everything to play for

Re: Raptors Pre season
Raptors 3 def San Marco 1
San Marco were 1-0 up inside the first 60 seconds thanks to some slack marking and a well placed finish
We equalised mid-way through the first half thanks to a penalty after our player was brought down in the box. The half as a whole was fairly even with both sides having possession and creating few chances.
Second half turned out to be a shambles for SM with two players getting sent off (not sure why the captain got his two yellow cards - seemed a bit harsh). SM didnt have many chances and it was always going to be difficult going a man down
We managed to put 2 away but couldve had another 3 if it werent for some slack finishing
B's:
San Marco def Raptors 2-0
Bad loss for the B's as theyre fighting for the championship. Loss was the second v SM this season and makes it really hard for the B's to claim their first championship
Tough game away to West Beach for both sides this week. A's need a win to all but cement their place in Div 2 for next season, while WB will be playing for the championship

Hey maxin, I wont even attempt to try and do your usual round up of last weekend's game, it wouldn't do it justice to your honest and methodical approach. Was good to see that fighting character once again across the entire team.
All the best champ, hope a speedy recovery.

Re: Raptors Pre season
The Raptors held their annual presentation night on Saturday and it turned out to be one of the best ones the club has ever had
The commitee did an excellent job in hosting and organising the night with plenty of laughs all round at the various awards given out, and a good time definately had by all who attended
A big congrats to all the respective winners on the night, especially JM who took out the A's B&F - a well deserved winner

Where was my invite this year?
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:
Colossus: One House
Costa: One Lunch
Oh and add in
Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Re: Raptors Pre season
ISC Raptors will welcome in season 2010 with a BBQ, drinks and its traditional 20/20 cricket match on Sunday 24th of January at Raptors Park (Trinity Gardens PS) from 10am
This will also be a chance for players to meet new A’s coach Jim Tsekinis. The official start of pre season training will commence the following Thursday, 28th Jan
Any new or interested players are also welcome to attend
Lets hope we got a good turnout like previous years!
