I dont come from 'their' club as you put it and moroned you really gotta get over yourself pal....he ' aaron' plays for the club not for a particular team at the club so is free to play in whichever team he sees fit...fancy even starting a pathetic whine like this...but i guess with the amount of issues you have this is just another on the listmarooned wrote:M Andrea wroteas for you? well back to manners school u go
No probs and at recess we can share some humble pie, that is if manners class and etiquette class's recess together.
During our presentations nothing was mentioned as it was not the right moment as we welcomed you in and applauded the Champions rightfully. Maybe cheat was too stong a word. But if it happened in any other league it would be deemed as unsportsmanlike would'nt you agree. Promise or no promise. Seems to me the only people thinking all is ok to do that come from within your club.

I have to back grayz16 up here as some chop from Florina was on here only a few weeks back having a go at Farm for stacking there C team & the criticising the refereeing of Belly...
But its ok for Florina to play the top goal scorer in league for there C's, yeah fair play that!!!

while i am not phased 1 bit by teams stacking to win a league, i find it quiet humerous that a forumite from florina complained about farm stacking there c,s yet has no issue with westervelt coming back to help his team in the c,s oh but i forgot he promised
Re: Sorry Florina Champions dont play like that!
Cmon Marooned dont tell me Downs havnt done anything of the sort in the past or are you just upset it was Azza.marooned wrote:To see Aaron Westevellt play for Florina C team in an attempt to win the div 8 title seems to me a lttle bit of a cheat as he has been a first team regular all year. I remember Fuda playing against our C Team last year scoring 2 or 3 before half time then going off.

Re: Sorry Florina Champions dont play like that!
at the end of the day stacking will always occur. whether it was a "promise" or not. the issue myself and a few others have on here is the complete hypocrisy of the forumite "öntheblackburner". the beef is not with florina here but it might do you guys some good to remind said forumite that he represents florina when carrying on here like a pork chop. one question burner and one question only. had we replied to your whinge with "the only reason we played graham elrick and jason keep in the game is because they promised the boys they would grace them with their presence, does that mean you would have shut up and gotten over it??? the c's were hunting a title and they brought in the premier league's leading goal scorer to help. lets not try to rob people of their intelligence with "but he promised" mkay.

Re: Sorry Florina Champions dont play like that!
what is the problem as some has said assa is a florina player a to z grade,he can play in any team he likes.think its a lil bit of sooky lala from the downs
Re: Sorry Florina Champions dont play like that!
Was going to let it go but I will respond . The game you are refering to lefty would be the over 35s , bert has never played for our "c" team.
I Remember a horse called Bold Personality in a maiden race at Doomben and the owner called it Fine Cotton, to the punters that backed the horse you got stiffed as you done your dough. To all the other horses and trainers in that race it was underhanded and not fair play. The rest of the country called it a "ring in", a better class horse put in a lower grade to reap a benefit.
I think the score was 4-3 to Florina and Aaron got two goals. Unfortunately Lion beat Inter to win the Div 8 title.
i played for Mod Vista over 35s some 15 years ago and on the last day were were in for a title shot at Ingle Farm when they brought on a young Brad Donavan late in the second half and he tore us to shreds. Within the rules yes, fair, well none of us thought so.
As i said its in my opinion and i will leave it at that. Sour grapes? Definately. Very sour.

Re: Sorry Florina Champions dont play like that!
over the years all clubs would have played an a grade player in the c's either last game of the year , team knocked out in cup round ...
i suppose the main thing is a forumite making comment within the last month and his club the same....
maybe if the league stated a player CANNOT play in the c's if they played A's the week before yet how do we monitor that
and then if you have a player that plays in the A's all the time yet for that weekend has a function and only play at 11am
and i must say when i was playing c's it was always great havin an a grade player playing whether to regain fitness or other reasons

Wow that would of been a long, long time ago. Before we all got to the Farm, they could barely get a B team together let alone an Over 35's. Brad looks old anywaymarooned wrote:Was going to let it go but I will respond . The game you are refering to lefty would be the over 35s , bert has never played for our "c" team.

I don't have a problem with Azza playing in the C's. Maybe he felt he hadn't played well the week before and needed to drop himself In the end, the best team won the league. I would of loved to have played against Azza and Downs had nothing to win or lose from the game so I wouldn't be to concerned.
It does make Ontheblackburner look a little silly accusing us but hey, this is a forum and we are all gulity of saying stupid things on here.
Re: Sorry Florina Champions dont play like that!
If it were Lion that had a ringer in from the first team then maybe the comments would be a little less argumentive towards what i believe is not fair play.
as they say done throw stones if you live in glass houses.
All heirachy at Florina know what i say is with tongue in cheek, I think the best team won the div 1 title and the best team won the div 8 title. Peter (the prez) and I have become close friends over the last 4 years and had many a session (outside SAASL offices smoking BnHs) plotting the downfall of other clubs . You have my total respect. Im hoping that this will be my last year in the hot seat and that someone else will step up to the plate, at the same time i hope all friendships made with other clubs will remain strong as time passes. To Azza its a pleasure to watch someone with your skills play in any div and at any time.
To all ex Downs players at Florina we all know time heals all wounds (yes even you Stavros ya dikhead)
See you all at the cup final.

Kinghenrik,
I do not represent the club on this forum, i represent myself and my opinion. Nevertheless, i was spoken to and have and still do apologise for what i wrote.
And a point of order - at least Azza didnt turn up 20 minutes into the first half and then proceeded to ask the ref, 'which way are we kicking'.
Gardensgoon,
Maybe you'd like to look back at your clubs Div 8 win in 2007 - three a players in the team photo that day!
Like i said b4, Azza appearance in the c's added something to the game. It was a dead rubber for the Downs C team but with Azza on our side, it made them push hard for a win (and imagine if you had actually gotten a win, you'd have braggin' rights for a fricken eternity).
The Downs C2 team contained 5-6 players who played C's against us last time. They were in a championship battle against FOB, so it is actually a bit rich for the Downs to be complaining.

No Downs c1 players played against FOB on the weekend. The two teams have not interchanged players at any time this year. The two teams dont even train together. If you going to shoot from the hip make sure your water pistol is loaded.

Bcz the players who played against FOB, there were 6-7 who 100 percent played against us at our ground. Number 9, shaven head with tatoos played against us last time. The old guy up front that has heaps of pace and skill, always causes us heart ache - he played against us last time. They played C1 on the weekend, not against us.

Well not to my knowledge both teams have been seperate entities all year maybe last year is what your thinking of ? last year both teams were in the same div and the C2 team got hammered each week. And i played in goals against you at our ground as we only had 9 players.
Re: Sorry Florina Champions dont play like that!
Just confirmed, your are right blackburner two of our C2 players played against your c1 team earlier this year due to lack of numbers. But they are regular c2 players they played up not down. And certainly are not 1st team players. All players vs Fob had played 98% of games for the C2s. Slight difference. we could have played our C1 team against FOB to ensure the title was still on. But to win like that would not be right would it. As I said go back and reload your water pistol and ill put it out with my flamethrower.

That player in questions turned up late, knew which way he was kicking but likes to take the piss out of Robbo. He asked him which was we were kicking as a joke and he also told him he hadn't been home yet as he was out all night. It was all for a laugh and he hadn't played in the B's the 3 weeks prior due to illness.ontheblackburner wrote:Kinghenrik,
