Not always, AFC Wimbledon are claiming trophies from before they were even formed and trying to take them off a club that just changed it's name.

Apples and oranges. FC doesn't claim anything from its predecessors. AFCW isn't a merged club.

Which is excellent! The more club representation on FN the better.

Speaking of which, Salisbury Villa and Mt Barker C1 have played 14 games according to the league website. However, Salisbury Villa are scheduled to play a game this weekend? Is the schedule incorrect?

and you have how much to do with 'germany'.

Who are AFCW anyway?

You don;t claim anything from your predecessors, well you took Old Boys League place and several of your team for years still wore their "olympic" shorts.

I didn't think Salisbury Villa played this weekend as the tie listed on the SAASL website (Mount Barker C1 v Salisbury Villa) was also played in round eleven. Take one of those out of the equation and all teams have played 13 games.

Code: Select all

                  P W D L F A Pts
FC ADELAIDE 13 11 - 2 41 11 33
HAHNDORF 13 9 1 3 43 22 28
OLD IGNATIANS 13 8 1 4 30 17 25
FLINDERS UNI 13 8 - 5 31 25 24
ADELAIDE VIPERS 13 5 3 5 36 28 18
MOUNT BARKER C2 13 3 1 8 19 39 10
SALISBURY VILLA 13 2 1 10 15 43 7
MOUNT BARKER C1 13 2 1 10 14 44 7

They also met in round eight. One of those is surely not supposed to be there.

The score is different though. SAASL error?

I did pick up on that, but surely Villa didn't make five trips to Mount Barker. Then again we did

Thank you. If you read the last few posts you'll find there is some confusion with results between C1 and Salisbury Villa. Any chance you could tell us which ones are correct?

I had another thought today, in round eleven the two Mt Barker sides were listed to play each other, and if that was the case the teams should all have played 13 games. That doesn't explain why the SAASL altered to show a result featguring Villa though.

There should be two teams on 14 games as they have a bye next weekend.

In round 9 when they both had the bye they played the game from round two.

Round eleven was the reverse fixture, but saasl site says they played Sals Villa. :?

I will clear this up. It is an error. When Mt Barker C1 were scheduled to play Salis Villa they (Salis) were unable to field a team at the time required, so we agreed to postpone the game one week. The week the C1 vs Villa game was then played was originally meant to be C1 vs C2, but that was put off until the last week of the season when both teams had a bye. The reason this was done was because we (Mt Barker) preferred to play a game rather than force Villa to forfeit or anything like that.

On the table - C1 should have 1 win less than they do on the ladder as SAASL put the win over Villa twice (C1 2 - 1 Villa). This also includes the # of games played.

The C1 1 - 1 C2 game was played this weekend.

Hope that clears everything up.

Mt Barker Senior Rep.

I figured it would become immediately obvious when 2 teams play 1 more game than everyone else.

Just sent through the website updates to the webmaster, this should be the correct Div 6 table:

Saturday Division Six

Code: Select all

                  P W D L F A Pts
FC ADELAIDE 14 11 0 3 44 15 33
HAHNDORF 14 10 1 3 47 23 31
OLD IGNATIANS 14 9 1 4 33 19 28
FLINDERS UNI 14 9 0 5 34 28 27
ADELAIDE VIPERS 14 5 3 6 38 30 18
MOUNT BARKER C2 14 3 2 9 20 41 11
MOUNT BARKER C1 14 2 2 10 15 44 8
SALISBURY VILLA 14 2 1 11 16 47 7

Kitchimo wrote:BB told me when I was down at the SAASL back in April that Division 6 was created as the 'C' league for all of the Division 2 clubs (of which 5 entered 'C' teams, the other 3 were from Division 3).

Division 5 was meant to replicate the same for the Division 1 clubs (of which 5 entered 'C' teams).
So by that logic Salisbury Villa and Vipers go up to division five.

It would make more sense though - anything to synchronise the c's games with the a's and b's. Let's hope the league actually think about the fixtures and get more triple headers penciled in for next year.

Totally agree. Also if teams were aligned in division five/six as the above suggests it really shouldn't be that hard.

So what happens next year with our C's?

Do they go to Div 5 so they can play with the Div 1 C's team or stay in Div 6?

You would assume our C's + Salisbury Villa's C's go to div 5 to line up as many fixtures as possible with our A's and B's

Based on what Kitchimo said you would think so. Even if they had the top two go up it could still be organized that they play at home when the A's and B's do. Take a few lessons from Perth perhaps.

If Vipers and Villa do go up to division five division six will be short of a few teams as the two relegated sides from division one don't have C teams and Mount Barker may not field two teams next season. We shall see.

Time to revive this. I am led to believe the july 10th Old Ignaitians v Fc Adelaide tie has been brought forward to tomorrow week to coincide with the division two ties.

Ironically Hahndorf got promoted as well whilst last year's champions didn't.
