ADELAIDE VILLA SATURDAY PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

Post by Jack Mehorf »

Fantastic season under the leadership of Rick Cerracchio and Captain Rick Derosa who led from the front week in week out.
Ross Fidele absolutely superb and totally in control in the last line, and Steve Terasenko the height in defence we missed last year. In the midfield Dave Scalzi, Daniele Galeano and Paul Simmons on the flanks mesmerised them and with the strength and control of Mark Scalzi, Dave Tassone and Dave Tassote along side the the 2 legends of Tony Scalzi and Billy Karepitis.......well that speaks for itself in that department!!!!! they controlled 80% of the game week in week out with the opposition only striving to stay in the contest on a lot of occasions. Up front it was Dom Musci and Daniel Della Verde who bagged 30 plus goals between them forming a lethal partnership .....Della has been a revelation and a master stroke by Ciucc who has the vision and and the knowledge to coach at any level. Keepers did OK also :D !!!!!! Great effort by the B team finishing runners up again under Tony Vello which left us with plenty of depth to call on when required.

A Big mention has to go to Bert Coscia who has been the heartbeat of the club in the last 4 years who just gets on with it and does what he has to do day in day out...your a legend buddy and can play a bit too!!!

Well done to Bosa also for a great season who made us fight for it till the end...another fantastic ball playing side that hopefully go on and win the cup for the Saturday boys!!!

ENJOY IT GUYS...........BRING ON FLORINA IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS!!!!!!!

Most likely they are the first Club to win both Sunday & Saturday Division 1 titles in the SAASL.
Congratulations.
