cumberland have been dropping players all year, and even forfieting 17 games to strengthen 16 & 15 teams, hightlighted again against gawler a couple of weeks ago.soccer_pro wrote:u17's

if they did drop 19's again today "soccer_pro", you had the game won before kick-off,
cumby 19's played yesterday, so shouldnt be eligable for today's 17's.

Re: JUNIOR RESULTS 6/9/09
Well considering cumberland only had 10 players at the start of the game, it shouldnt really matter if they do drop 19s they also had 16s so no real difference, and they went up 1-0 and 2-1 but city got home easy in the end. 17a all over now modbury got the title unless they lose to cumberland (highly unlikely) and city beat WAB by 13 or so goalssoccer_pro wrote:u17's

Re: JUNIOR RESULTS 6/9/09
Just for the record Cumberland u16s are not dropping players to the u15s. It's the other way around. The u15s have been lending players to the 16s and 17s all year.
Re: JUNIOR RESULTS 6/9/09
Green, good win to Enfield boys .Unfortunately the West Adelaide 15a,s had to cancel the game against Blue Eagles unless we fronted up with 6 players.Never in all my years of soccer have i seen a team with so much bad luck as far as injuries and sickness are concerned. We really havent had a full strength side since the Man Utd cup and when we beat Ad City 6-1 about 8 weeks ago.Nevertheless the boys have given it their best shot against the teams in their league and have tried to battle on under the circumstances.I know a few teams have had their own injury problems to deal with as well but thats soccer.Good luck to all in the remaining games.Green_Manalishi wrote:14C

Benny Warland (spelling) and Nathan Mauriello, did well but didn't have as much time on the ball as they normally do. Both said it was far more physical and intense but enjoyed it!oohnanahiya wrote:which lads played up from the red's 13a's and how did they fare?Nova wrote:U14A

Very good players though and Mauriello is as tough as I've seen!

Well done to the lads. And credit to the Coaches/Club to have players play up (two very classy players too!!).

i've been keeping my eye on this team since they picked up the cup at hindmarsh as I'm looking for a club for my 13 yr old to trial for next season - they are definitely well coached and drilled. at least 1/2 of that team could probably play up. anyway i've just discovered the club's not trialling for the 14's next season.

Re: JUNIOR RESULTS 6/9/09
You need to recheck your facts and wind your neck in chum. Cumberland have not had a single 19s or 17s player play down in the 16s or 15s all year except for a goalkeeper once. Reason being, they are all age-ineligible.BIG FELLA wrote:cumberland have been dropping players all year, and even forfieting 17 games to strengthen 16 & 15 teams, hightlighted again against gawler a couple of weeks ago.
In fact, due to player shortages it's been totally the other way around with 15s moving up to 16s, and 16s going up to 17s and 19s with some kids playing 2 or 3 games on a weekend. So to whinge when a player drops back to his correct team is a bit rich especially from Sportsmanship City FC.
I think you'll find that only applies to the senior setup since there is no final 5 series for the juniors.BIG FELLA wrote:final 5 series, rule No. 5.4

Re: JUNIOR RESULTS 6/9/09
Must say i have been very impressed with the Para Hills U15A team of 2009.
Our boys have played them 3 times this year and they are a skillful and entertaining lot.
Does not really matter to me if they win the league or not i have thoroughly enjoyed watching them
this season and aside from a cup blowout our boys can also hold their heads up proud with the performances
in the league against them. The Para team is well coached and they are a pleasure to watch.
Whoever their coach is well done and continue the good work. Im sure our boys enjoy playing against a
quality opposition like yourselves and our boys coach has done well in getting our boys to a very competitve level
against normally stron opposition in Para and Modbury. We were a bit unfortunate not to sneak a goal in at the end but overall it was
a very impressive game to watch with good sportmanship shown by all
Well done to both sets of lads, keeping learning and enjoying the game.
