That's the other thing I can't understand why there isn't people at the SAASL headquarters when we need them there most? Weekends when the fricken games are on in case there is any problems like this. I think we pay enough money to them through the year for to have the headquarters open a bit more than what they are now don't you all think?Fork Sake wrote: I have. Once we worked out there was a problem we phoned SAASL & got the new addy. Luckily, SAASL answered our call, unlike to you boys.
Get up em! I'd ask for a rematch!

TEA TREE GULLY CITY 2007 DIV 2 RESERVES CHAMPIONS!
Re: Where were you?
Sounds like a good tactic to me,send details in, change them and notify league and referee, if we changed every week we could win all our home games 2-0
Seriously why have a website if they don't use it to update things like this most people have internet on their phones - could have checked and stopped this from happening

When we played at Mylor we received an sms from the Hahndorf President two days beforehand.Cunning Stunt wrote:There were juniors playing at the ground in our case. Fuck knows and cares how you lost them. And did you speak to the referee at the time? I am willing to bet that 1. you did not and 2. he did not admit to losing any passes.nicc90 wrote:If the ref tells us he lost them how did we lose them??
Me being a referee is not relevant to this thread. You raise an issue on this forum, I share some comments based on the information that you and others have posted in a genuine attempt to help find a reasonable explanation, and you then call me an idiot. This is a public forum so please do not tell me or anyone else what they can comment about. Or perhaps you are in fact looking for sympathy and any excuse to slag the SAASL, referees and your opposition? If you are then you have come to the wrong place.nicc90 wrote:I think you as being a ref? you should know the FACTS before you speak, so next time please refrain from making a comment about things you have no idea about!

I'm with you Rob.Rob Lozza wrote:nicc90 wrote:I am sorry to say this but you are an idiot! In your opinion. I've been around this league for a while and I doubt anyone would agree.
My recollection of Rob Lozza is he is a very good, fair ref and also a decent bloke to chat with after the game.
Re: Where were you?
I am sure he is but back to the beginning of this thread i asked the question "Where were you Sierra Stars?"crue head wrote:I'm with you Rob.Rob Lozza wrote:nicc90 wrote:I am sorry to say this but you are an idiot! In your opinion. I didn't intend to get mouth from someone who has nothing to do with this subject, fair?
And BTW Rob the referee did lose our cards, how hard is that to believe? You have denied that it happened in nearly every comment you have made on here. Were you there? No. Case closed!

Re: Where were you?
First of that's pretty funny seeing every second thread on here is about people complaining about the SAASL or the standard of refereeing.Rob Lozza wrote:Or perhaps you are in fact looking for sympathy and any excuse to slag the SAASL, referees and your opposition? And second no i am not looking for sympathy, it was a simple question to see what happened on Sunday.

Maybe your coach lost the cards, and is trying to tell you something

Sorry skippy, but as RL said you really don't have all the facts.
Hopefully you can clear something up for me. Where have I said something factless?
I could only comment on the information that is publicly and readily available at www.saasl.com.au
My comments are based on my own thoughts. Why we even have handbooks is beyond me. As I said we are 20 years into the www era and we can't even rely on the information that's provided to us online.
I have no comments on the administration of the woodpeckers and whether they received any correspondance regarding the match vs sierra nor do I care. What I do know is the SAASL needs impoving on their own administration, that is evident.

Re: Where were you?
This just in, apparently the game did get moved to another location: Woodville High.
We were never notified of this change and now the league wants us to pay a forfeit fee, can you say dreeeeeaming!
Coach is speaking to the league tomorrow.

Just found out that SAASL admitted that we were not told about change of ground and will not have to pay fine and a night match will happen in the next few weeks
