Pontians
Inter have better facilities, history & rivalry so would prefer to see them in Div 1

Re: Inter or Pontians headed for Sunday Div 2
inter so we can win back the underdown cup and it's like having an extra home game.
game at pontians ground
hard to pick this one as form shows pontians more stronger at home than away yet inter bad form at home but wins coming when playing away with only 2 losses away..so maybe a draw but steve paradiso could be the decider in this one..

Re: Inter or Pontians headed for Sunday Div 2
Pontians have won all home games at Ferryden Park since their permanant move there.
1-0 PHW
2-1 Ingle Farm
2-1 Elizabeth Downs
All three teams where chasing top spot at the time. Massive games for both clubs. I think if Inter lose and go down they will be able to rebound as like a previous post said more tradition and history. If Pontians lose and go down I think the club will struggle in Div 2 and become a yo yo club.
Must say that the facilities at Ferryden Park are a lot better than Inters!
Where was Paradiso last week? He didnt play against Vale is the talk.

Inter will find it hard at Ferryden Park, Pontians playing well at their new ground, but brad is good at getting his team to grind out results.Karmann Ghia wrote:Pontians have won all home games at Ferryden Park since their permanant move there.

Pontians wouldnt want it to come down to the last round, Fulham away, Inter at home against USC Lion.
Going to sit on the fence and say 1-1.

Inter relying on us beating Pontians. Now that would be ironicPontians wouldnt want it to come down to the last round, Fulham away, Inter at home against USC Lion.

playing away to those teams inter have beaten the downs and drew with the other 2 in the 2nd half of this year! huge game for both clubs imo makes for a very interesting final round if theres a drawKarmann Ghia wrote:Pontians have won all home games at Ferryden Park since their permanant move there.

Pezos has obviously done a great job with Pontians since King Eric almost made the side implode early on. Pontians are definitely going into the game with better form so I think they will get over the line this week and stay up.
Better for us if Inter go down because it will mean another game in the North. Guess I should worry about my team staying in div 2 first though.

If inter do go down and pontians stay up, what would happen to their mid year signings?? I think that Pontian will get the win they need to stay up, I said it to a few of they guys around the club when we played there....... "they have one of those teams that can pop up and grab results off other teams".
Plus it would mean that I wouldn't have to play against Inter's keeper again for a year..........

Re: Inter or Pontians headed for Sunday Div 2
Would be good to see a draw here and for The Downs to beat PH West and for Florina to lose to P.Gardens just to see EVERYTHING in Div 1 come down to the last week (just for entertainment value)

Re: Inter or Pontians headed for Sunday Div 2
Great Win for the Pontians
Tight and tense game. Paradiso missing a penalty
and both keepers making some great saves to keep their sides in it. Bad luck for the Inter keeper miskicking a goal kick, the ball going straight to Steve Paradiso which allowed him to make amends for the penalty miss.
Great result for the club and they will need to get a few more players to compete next year. Good luck to Inter for next year, they wernt sore losers and somestuck around for a few beers and snags.

Re: Inter or Pontians headed for Sunday Div 2
Inter relegated twice in 3 seasons? Considering its history of success, that is almost unbelievable.
